Wm. R. Hartigan and Son is a family owned and operated business that was established and has been continuously operating since 1869. The founder William R. Hartigan began wood turning when he was just 14 years old. Three years later he went into business and gave life to a company that has now lasted one and a half centuries... In addition to all types of grades of native and imported woods, we also produce parts and assemblies made from plywood, masonite, epoxy plastic foam, formica, and all other materials that can be machined on woodworking equipment... From 1869 to 1923 the founder, William R. Hartigan, operate the business which was affectionately called "The Wood Shop" by firends and family.
