Hi, I'm Nicole Brown. Educated in art history and graphic design, I got my start at a shop in Glendale called Uniscan Graphics. This is important because they had their presses right there so I learned exactly what happens once the design is done. I did blue-lines and press proofs and spent hours learning why the details of mechanicals are important to the finished product...
I moved on to work freelance at Paramount Pictures and advertising agencies before landing at Mattel. I worked on licensed Disney and Nickelodeon projects, as well as Hot Wheels and Barbie products, and I really got to see how to work in a corporate environment. Additional Disney product and packaging freelance work followed until I joined former bosses at Jakks Pacific in Malibu. This threw me into packaging and prototype development for Toy Fair in New York every year, and I saw toys go from concept to shelf at stores like Target in a matter of months.
