My name is Amie, I joined the team here at Belmont Vets in 2012 after I moved from Hampshire. I qualified as a veterinary nurse in 2005. I have a cat called Ralph who is very much spoilt. I have a keen interest in theatre work and emergency treatment.

Hi, my name is Bethany, I started working at Belmont Vets in October 2018. I absolutely adore animals and growing up we never had less than 8 cats and 2 dogs! Our family rescued animals and gave them a loving home so when this position became available I jumped at the opportunity of working with animals on a day to day basis. I have a husband and 3 gorgeous children, and when I'm not working I love to spend time with them making memories. At home I have 3 beautiful cats which completes my little family.

Catherine Roberts

My name is Cat and I joined Belmont Vets in July 2019, having graduated from the University of Glasgow. My particular interests are cardiology and surgery. Out of work I can usually be found on the River Wye in a kayak, training for canoe slalom competitions.

Charlotte Bancroft BVSc

My name is Charlotte (Charley to most as there are so many of us!) and I joined Belmont in Summer 2021, graduating from Bristol University. I really enjoy the internal medicine side of veterinary work, loving all species of animal but with a particular interest in felines and small mammals. I truly believe that ‘prevention is better than cure'. I've found passion in ultrasonography, feline medicine, and soft tissue surgery.

Charlotte Matthews

My name is Charlotte and I have been working at Belmont Vets since August 1994 after qualifying from The Royal Veterinary College, London. I worked here full time until having my first child in 2000 and have been part time since, having gone on to have three more children. My interests are first opinion work with the option of following up the surgical cases and medical alike. I also have an interest in hydrotherapy for dogs. My hobbies include skiing, cooking and playing the piano and I firmly believe that ‘every pet matters'.

My name is Charlotte, I started as a volunteer on Saturday mornings in 2014 and since then have been offered a role here full time and qualified as a Registered Veterinary Nurse in November 2020. I have a Labrador, two yappy Jack Russells and two horses that I enjoy taking out for hacks around the countryside. In my spare time I'm often found competing with my local young farmers club or spending time on the farm with my flock of sheep.

Daniel O'Leary RVN

My name is Daniel, I have been at Belmont Vets since July 2004. I completed my BVNA animal nursing assistant qualification, in 2006 with distinction. I then progressed onto doing the RCVS Small animal veterinary nursing Level 2 and 3 qualifications in 2007/8, and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in January 2009. I am also the Clinical Coach in charge of training. I have a household full of pugs, Ricco, Rogue & Zeva and a crazy labrador called Maggie. I have particular interests in birds, and my hobbies include fishing, playing tennis and showing my dogs. Dan completed the Diploma in Dog Breeding in 2021 and is currently studying the Advanced Programme in Veterinary Nursing Exotic Species (Small Mammal).

Georgia Millan

My name is Georgia and I qualified from the Royal College in 1999. I have worked at Belmont Vets since 2004. I enjoy all aspects of veterinary work, especially ultrasound and internal medicine. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my 3 girls and husband and enjoy walking our dogs, Finn and Winnie. We also have 3 cats and many guinea pigs that complete our family.

Heidi Young RVN

My name is Heidi & I am a senior nurse here at Belmont Vets. I started working at Belmont in 1996, qualifying as a RVCS registered nurse in 1999. My duties include being a theatre nurse where I enjoy all aspects of theatre work including anaesthesia working alongside my colleagues in what is always a busy environment. I am also a clinic nurse which means I get to interact with our clients as well as their pets. I cover a whole range of nurse clinics & recently I gained my certificate in laser therapy which means I am now holding laser clinics.

My name is Joe and I was employed by Belmont Vets in November 2021 after volunteering once a fortnight for several months. My fiancé and I relocated to beautiful Hereford in January 2021 from South East London, where I was an actor. Helping take care of animals is a dream come true for me and I cannot wait to work with and learn from my talented colleagues. Outside of the practice I have self-published a children's book and absolutely love cooking (Italian food mainly as that is where my family are from!).

Leigh Pilsworth

My name is Leigh, I started at Belmont Vets in January 2018 as a second year Veterinary Nurse student having started my training on the Wirral. I qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in June 2018, since then I have completed the ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing with Distinction in September 2021. My main interests are anaesthesia and surgical nursing and working with our feline patients. I am the Cat Advocate for the Cat Friendly Clinic scheme which aims to make the practice more welcoming and less stressful for cats. Outside of work I enjoy baking, crafts and scenic walks. Leigh has completed the ISFM Certificate in Feline Nursing.

Maria Mercer

My name is Maria I have worked at Belmont Vets since Autumn 2009 after graduating from Cambridge University. I'm originally from Shropshire but have found Hereford a very welcoming place to live and enjoy exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside. I am interested in all aspects of small animal first opinion practice with a particular interest in soft tissue surgery and own a very badly behaved cat called Wurzle and a pretty well-behaved Labrador called Jake. My hobbies include swimming, walking and visiting family and friends.

In 2008 I completed my BVNA animal nursing assistant qualification, with a distinction. I then progressed onto the RCVS Small animal veterinary nursing Level 2 and 3 qualifications and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2010. I enjoy being outside and spending time with my family and friends. I have an energetic dog called Juno who is a mix between a Labrador, Springer, Italian Spinone and Newfoundland.
