Abhishek has over five plus years of experience managing medical affairs for Farcast Biosciences India Pvt Ltd during which he has assisted the Medical Director in the designing of real-world evidence generation investigator sponsored clinical trials that looked at the efficacy of CANScript in a clinical setting for various solid cancers along side seeing through the development and implementation of various other projects. Abhishek also co-founded a US based start-up CosmoEco Construction focusing on green construction projects and founded the Indian based startup Kriscloud LLC.

Dr. Valerie Ward, PhD, is is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemical Engineering and cross appointed in the Department of Biology at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Ward's research encompasses the development of novel bioprocessing strategies to support the advancement of the Canadian bioeconomy. Her primary focus is on the biosynthesis and metabolic engineering of isoprenoids in bacteria and microalgae and their extraction and purification.

Karan is the co-founder of the start-up Elavopure and is currently involved in the procurement and sales of PPE products. He has extensive experience in international trade and has been consulting and trading in the health & wellness, food & beverage and cannabis space.
Karan previously worked 10 years in a remote region of Siberia where he Co-led the establishment and operation of start-up sawmill and wood remanufacturing plant. In 2013 he joined Cocos Pure Beverage Corp, a coconut water beverage company, as the operations manager. He was key in assisting a buyout of Cocos by a cannabis company, at the same time helping raise over $500,000 investment for the new company.

With over 15 years of work experience in highly regulated health industry- medical devices, food and pharmaceuticals including leadership in medical marijuana research, Manit brings his broad business networks in India and North America in the pharmaceutical and medical device space. He has successfully researched, developed and launched novel formulations. Manit has built Akseera's vision and business, fostering partnerships, and innovatively commercializing research outcomes to manifest into a sustainable revenue generating strategy.

Dr. Payne has founded/co-founded eight companies in diverse sectors, from electronic publishing to medical devices. Those companies sold products in Canada, USA, Europe and Asia. He has been involved with government organizations, private and public companies, reverse take-overs, venture capital corporations and not-for-profit groups. Peter earned a Ph.D. from the University of British Columbia (UBC) and was active with the Problem Based Learning program. He was a member of the UBC Faculty of Medicine and is currently on Faculty with Simon Fraser University's Beedie School of Business. Peter has been an invited speaker at international conferences, holds a number of patents and has received several awards for academic and business activities. Peter often speaks about the application of the scientific method to innovation challenge.

Dr. Robin Duncan is an Associate Professor in the Department of Kinesiology (cross appointed to Biology), in the Faculty of Applied Health Sciences at the University of Waterloo. Dr. Duncan completed her PhD in Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto, where her research was focused on the molecular regulation of cholesterol biosynthesis in breast cancer. She then completed a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Department of Nutritional Science and Toxicology at the University of California at Berkeley, funded by The Canadian Institutes for Health Research, and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC). There, her work centered on the characterization of new enzymes in lipid metabolism, with an emphasis on understanding the pathogenesis of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus, and obesity. The Duncan Lab continues to work on the discovery and characterization of novel lipid metabolizing enzymes, and has additional interests in the role of bioactive lipids in health and disease, including both endogenously synthesized lipids, and bioactive nutraceuticals. Areas of expertise in disease research include diabetes, cancer, inherited mitochondrial disorders, and neurological disorders. The Duncan Lab is funded by NSERC, Diabetes Canada, Mitacs, the Barth Syndrome Foundation, the Canada Foundation for Innovation, and an Early Researcher Award from the Government of Ontario.

Mr. Patel has 26 years of Quality Assurance and Quality Control experience, in the Pharmaceutical Industry and 15 at the Senior Management level. His expertise lies in tech validation, launching new projects, new software implementation and R&D- Developmental QA for various formulation types Oral Solid Dosage (OSD), Injectable, Ophthalmic and liquid formulations. He has extensive and successful experience of audits from a number of different health authorities such as United States Food and Drug Administration (USFDA), Health Canada, Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), Medicines Control Council (MCC), World Health Organization (WHO), Agência Nacional de Vigil ncia Sanitária (ANVISA) to name a few. He will bring to the table his expertise in building a manufacturing plant to meet the requirements of health authorities and quality assurance of the protocols and products developed at Akseera.

Dr. Jadhav has over 15 years of experience in Pharmaceutical R&D, with 6 years at Senior Management level and has delivered more than 40 US generics that include a First To File generic and more than 20 EU generics. He has a doctorate in Pharmaceutical Technology and has also studied Patent Law. Dr. Jadhav brings to the team his experience with the various Regulatory bodies and will help Akseera launch its products in India, Canada and USA.
