Bär Industrie-Elektronik GmbH was founded 1987 and has since dealt with solutions around the meter. These include hardware topics as pulse data logger, communication technology such as modems and M-Bus, as well as software topics such as remote meter reading, network control gateways or IP-telemetry. Since 2002, software development has been under the direction of Mr. Jürgen Müller. A reorganization and spin-off of the software division resulted in the founding of Baer Energy Automation GmbH in December 2017 under the management of Mr. Müller.
