Korea Marine Equipment Research Institute (KOMERI) has designated as type approval test facility of Ballast Water Management System (BWMS) from administration of the Republic of Korea in 2008 and has approved by the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) as A sub-Laboratory for the land-based testing, shipboard testing and environmental component testing of BWMS for the first time in Asia on March 2015. Our test facility is the largest in the world that it is capable of simultaneously operating four BWMS and consists of two 1,000 m3 source tanks, two 500 m3 and six 400 m3 holding tanks for land-based testing. Also, our test facility can provide a flow rate from 200 to 1,500 m3/h for the verification of biological performance in fresh, brackish and marine waters...
