He played all age when he first joined the club and now plays in the over 352's mens team. You will find David around the club whether it is helping on the BBQ or setting up for the weekend. David Skillen - President

Job Titles:
  • Member of the General Committee
  • President
  • President of the General Committee
  • Member of Committee
David has been on the Committee since 2014 where he started as a General Committee Member before taking on Vice President and briefly acting as Treasurer. David is currently our President, which he said involves ensuring the Falcons Club is run for the benefit of members as well as promotes the participation and achievements of Falcons players and teams. David started playing with the club in 2007 and then from 2010 when his kids started playing, he volunteered firstly as a manager, before going on to coach their teams over the years. He initially came to the club after his wife started playing for Falcons with a few other mothers in the Ladies comp in 2007 and she introduced him to the over 35s team. He said it has been love ever since. He said his favourite memory of being part of the Falcons was in 2020 when both the u16s team he coached and the over 35s team he played in both won the premiership in the final game of the season. It was a big day! As President, he said he is currently continuing to work on making the club better for all of the members. When asked what he hopes to accomplish during his time on the committee he said that he wants to build the Club's reputation to compete at all levels while catering for players of all abilities. He said he wants our talented players coming through to be able to stay and play with Falcons in Division 1 teams rather than feeling the need to go elsewhere. He would also like our lower Division teams to have a great experience competing at their level. He said key to this is getting players playing at the level that is right for their ability and giving our volunteering coaches the best support we can so they can provide the best experience for players and parents. You can usually find David walking around the ground on a Saturday and still playing (and having a few beers) with the over 35s on a Sunday.

Greg James - Treasurer

Job Titles:
  • Treasurer
  • Treasurer of the General Committee
  • Member of Committee
Greg joined Committee in late 2019 and is currently holding the role as Treasurer, having also completed the role of Treasurer in 2020. He then moved into the role of SSG Co-ordinator in 2021, which involved the organisation and management of SSG teams on match day, as well as assisting with the development of coaches for those teams throughout the season. Greg said he enjoys working with the committee and hopes to contribute to the development of the club. Greg originally joined the Falcons back in 2009, having recently moved back into the local area, stating he was trying to improve his fitness by playing with the O-35's. He has been with the club ever since either in a player and/or coaching capacity with 2 sons now playing with the club. He chose to play at the Falcons club after speaking to several people who impressed on him the good family and friendly culture at the club, which is still very much present today.
