Dr. Guilbert (Gib) Hentschke

Gib was appointed to the Supervisory Committee in January 2008. He is Dean Emeritus at the University of Southern California's Rossier School of Education, and Senior Advisor at Parthenon-EY, the education practice division of Ernst & Young. He previously served as Dean at the University of Rochester and held faculty and administrative positions at Teachers College, Columbia University, the Chicago Public Schools, and Eastside Union High School District in San Jose. Dedicated to furthering the education profession, he currently serves as a director at WestEd, ExED, and Mosaica Online Academy of Southern California.

Dr. Janalyn Glymph

Janalyn has been a member of the Supervisory Committee since April 2014, bringing with her decades of educational leadership experience. She began her career with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD), serving in a variety of positions including Executive Officer of the Board of Education, Director of Project Management and Construction, and Deputy Business Manager. Janalyn also was Personnel Director for LAUSD's Personnel Commission, overseeing the human resources operations for over 38,000 nonteaching employees. In addition, she served as General Manager of KLCS-TV (the district's PBS television station), guiding the station to eight Emmy Awards for original educational programming.

E. Ted Fujimoto

Ted is President of Landmark Consulting Group, Inc., a management and investment consultancy focused on scaling innovations in learning. Ted helped design the replication systems & strategy for several of the largest and highest-performing public school designs in the country. He received the 2002 Center for Digital Government "In the Arena" Award for Education Leadership, and was named one of "Education's Dreamers, Leaders, and Innovators" by Converge Magazine. He also served on the California Education Technology Advisory Committee. Ted was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2014 after serving on the Supervisory Committee for nine years.

Emmanuel "Oly" Olaes

Oly's tenure with the credit union began in 2012 when he joined the Supervisory Committee, ultimately serving as Chairman. He joined the Board of Directors in 2017, bringing extensive business and technology expertise from his distinguished military and civilian careers. A retired major in the U.S. Air Force with 26 years of active service, his corporate experience includes roles as a System Analyst for Cyberductions, System Redesign Engineering with Experian, and Strategic Planner/IT Systems Designer for the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services, among others.

Fredric Nigro

Fred was elected to California Credit Union's Board of Directors in 2003 and is a member of the Research & Policies Development Committee. Prior to joining the Board, he served on the credit union's Supervisory Committee from 1999 to 2003. Fred worked for over three decades with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and retired as the Lieutenant of Investigations with the LAUSD Police Department. He concurrently spent 25 years with the Los Angeles Community College District, where he directed the Special Operations Section supervising financial audits, investigative reviews, organizational studies, and other areas.

Honorable Scott J. Svonkin

Scott was elected to the California Credit Union Supervisory Committee in 2013. He previously served on the California Credit Union Board of Directors from 2004 - 2012. His considerable professional experience includes serving as president of the Svonkin Consulting, Marketing, Communications and Public Affairs firm; healthcare professional at Prudential Insurance; community liaison on the staff of Mayor Tom Bradley; and instructor at Los Angeles Valley College. Scott has been a member of the Los Angeles Community College District Board of Trustees since 2011, including three terms as president. He currently serves as Chair of Political Action for the NAACP Beverly Hills/Hollywood Branch and Chairman of the Los Angeles County Insurance Commission, and he completed two terms as President of the Los Angeles County School Trustees Association.

James "Jim" Doyle

Jim's service to the credit union and its members goes back to 2015 when he joined the North Island Credit Union Advisory Council. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2017, and also serves on the Research & Policies Development Committee. In his professional career, Jim spent 34 years in Medical Devices Sales and Marketing with Johnson & Johnson. He also proudly served in the U.S. Navy for over six years and continues his military commitment as a Docent on board the USS Midway in San Diego, where he shares his expertise and knowledge with guests and members.

Jeff Stone

Jeff was appointed to the California Credit Union Board of Directors in 2017 after serving on the North Island Credit Union Board of Directors since 2014. He is currently Vice President and Senior Business Services Officer of CU Business Group, LLC, which provides credit unions with business lending, deposit, and consulting services. Previously, Jeff spent nearly 17 years as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer at North Island Credit Union, where he helped develop the credit union's successful Member Business Services Program and was instrumental in protecting its loan portfolio through the economic downturn.

Marcia "Marcy" Wade

  • Vice President of Human Resources for Santa Monica Community College District
Marcy is currently Vice President of Human Resources for Santa Monica Community College District with wide ranging responsibilities for labor and employee relations, contract administration, academic recruitment and selection processes, compensation, training and development, and equal employment opportunity. Previously Chief Human Resources Officer at El Camino Community College District, Marcy has served as a Board Director for the Association of Community College Administrators and the Association of Chief Human Resources Officers. Marcy was appointed to the credit union's Supervisory Committee in January 2008, and elected to the Board in 2018.

Pamela Fees

Pamela joined the Board of Directors in 2015 after serving on the Supervisory Committee for eight years. She is currently a consultant in the field of school business and part-time faculty member at California State University Dominguez Hills. She previously served as Director of School Financial Services at Los Angeles County Office of Education, Business Manager at a community college district as well as a teacher, principal and Chief Business Official for the Hawthorne School District. Pamela is active in the California Association of School Business Officials and is past president of the Hawthorne Chamber of Commerce.

Rebecca Collier

Rebecca has brought her considerable experience to the credit union for 30 years. First joining North Island Credit Union's Supervisory Committee in 1993, she served on the North Island Credit Union Board beginning in 1996 and was appointed to the California Credit Union Board of Directors in 2017. Rebecca owns Collier Enterprises, a business consulting and corporate training firm she founded 13 years ago. Her work focuses on performance improvement coaching, meeting facilitation, and curriculum design. Before establishing her firm, she spent 11 years as a Global Master Trainer for Dale Carnegie Training, a corporate training firm in New York City.

Roger McTighe

Roger was appointed to the California Credit Union Supervisory Committee in March 2017. He previously served on North Island Credit Union's Supervisory Committee since 2014. Roger had a long career at North Island Credit Union, retiring as Senior Vice President of Business Development after 31 years with the credit union. During his tenure with North Island Credit Union, Roger was named to the Hall of Honor by the Defense Credit Union Council and to the Hall of Fame for Fleet Week San Diego. Roger proudly served in the U.S. Navy for 30 years as an officer and pilot, and serves as the credit union's Volunteer Military Liaison.

Surviva Mendoza

Surviva brings years of experience in the education community to the credit union, primarily with the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). She retired as the LAUSD Assistant Budget Director after specializing in the fiscal intricacies of adult education, early childhood education, and other special District programs. She also previously developed and negotiated contracts for the Los Angeles Community College District. Surviva was elected to the Board of Directors in 2007 after serving on the Supervisory Committee since 2004.

Victor Hanson

Vic has brought his extensive business and education experience to California Credit Union for the past two decades. He served as a member of the Supervisory Committee from 2003 to 2012 and was appointed to the Board of Directors in 2013. Vic has a long career at a variety of educational institutions in Southern California, including Los Angeles Community College District, where he served as Director of Accounting, Director of Disbursements, and Director of Administrative Service. He retired from El Camino College in 2005 as Vice President of Administrative Services. Since retiring, Vic has served as interim Vice President of Administrative Services at Santa Monica College and L.A. City College.

Walton Greene - Chairman

With more than 20 years of service to California Credit Union, Walt was elected to the Board of Directors in 2007 and currently serves as Chairman. Prior to that, he was a member of the Supervisory Committee from 2002 to 2007, holding the position of Chairman from 2005 to 2007. Currently an Assistant Professor with the University of Southern California in the School of Education, Walt has over 35 years experience as a teacher, principal, coordinator, and administrator, ultimately retiring as Director, Employee Service Unit and Personnel Division at the Los Angeles Unified School District.

William Kaley

William was appointed to the Supervisory Committee in January 2020. Previously, he had served on the North Island Credit Union Board of Directors from 2014 - 2017, and also was a California Credit Union Board Volunteer from 2017 to 2019. With decades of experience in the financial services industry, William currently serves as President of Colony West Business Risk Solutions, a $13 million Santa Ana-based company, which specializes in corporate risk transfer, compliance, and insurance placement. He previously worked as a personal banker with Sunwest Bank.
