CURVE LAKE FIRST NATION SCHOOL

Our school is operated by our Chief and Council and falls under the umbrella of the education department... At Curve Lake First Nation School the Ojibwe language and cultural aspects are taught to all students daily. Our teachers are encouraged to use the Ojibwe language in their classrooms and when speaking as much as possible... Originally a two room school, students have been educated in this location since the early 1980s. The building was expanded in the 90s to include a gymnasium and two additional classrooms. Currently we provide education for Kindergarten Year 1 and 2 through Grade 3.
