Dan is a life-long resident of Ross Township. In 1987, he received his B.A. degree in political science from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. In 1993 he received his law degree from Duquesne University. Dan was admitted to the Pennsylvania Bar in January 1994. His first position out of law school was as the law clerk for Judge John Zottola in the Criminal Division of the Court of Common Pleas of Allegheny County. After two years with Judge Zottola, Dan joined the law firm of Sherrard, German & Kelly, P.C., in downtown Pittsburgh as a litigation associate.
