EBCO is and always has been a family owned company. Today the company is owned and run by Paul Smart, and his son and business partner, Phil, who is the third generation to own and operate EBCO. EBCO is still recognized as being a leader for marketing oil and gas properties and related assets... EBCO is the continuous 24/7 site for selling and buying oil and gas properties... Because of its reputation, EBCO became the lead auction company for the FDIC and began auctioning items that were repossessed from failed banks and savings and loans during the early 1980s. In 1987, the FDIC commissioned EBCO to conduct the nation's first oil and gas property auction. Soon, ever major and independent would participate in an EBCO auction.
