Above is a picture of where we gather to hear God's Word every Wednesday morning. HLIS is a Christian learning community set in the mountains of the Enga Province of Papua New Guinea. It was established originally in 1958 by Lutheran missionaries from America with pennies (toyas) gathered by women all across America. It has a clear educational mission to serve students from the entire country as well as other locations in the South Pacific. In addition, it maintains a reputation for academic excellence and high achievement "Guided by the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
