Colonel Michael Bauer

Colonel Michael Bauer has been the press spokesman of the Austrian Ministry of Defence for many years. His numerous appearances at press conferences and in front of running cameras distinguish him as a specialist in crisis communication. He passes on his experience as a lecturer at the Danube University Krems and at the FH Campus Wien, among others. In the workshop True Crisis Stories! he accompanies you through striking crisis cases. Colonel Michael Bauer graduated from the Theresian Military Academy. After serving for five years as company commander of an armoured reconnaissance company, he was press officer at the International Operations Command from 1999 to 2003. He studied political science at the University of Vienna, graduated from the Austrian College of Journalists in Salzburg and since 2009, as a spokesperson, has been responsible for crisis communication for the Ministry of Defence.

Hannes Külz

Educational background Hannes studied Politics and Public Administration at the Universities of Konstanz and Granada. He volunteered at Financial Times Deutschland and attended the Henri-Nannen Journalism School in Berlin. Working for Financial Times Deutschland as editor of their foreign policy section and "Magazin" supplement, Hannes handled Latin America and world trade stories, writing articles and portraits. He frequently guested on the Spanish-edition TV talk show "Quadriga" broadcast by Germany's international broadcaster "Deutsche Welle" and was foreign expert for the children's programming of "Deutschlandradio Kultur". As managing director of the association "Initiative Freie Presse", Hannes trained local journalists in Afghanistan. He then moved to the renowned Berlin-based content marketing agency KircherBurkhardt (now C3) where, as head of the editorial desk, he was responsible for the development and production of a variety of newspapers, magazines and other media formats for companies and publishing houses; whilst there he also wrote the script for a Japanese comic biography on the industrialist Robert Bosch. He continues to write for several German newspapers and online formats to this day. Hannes uses his extensive experience to offer a variety of training opportunities. For example, he works as a writing coach for technical experts and business executives, and teaches public relations and crisis communication on the MBA degree programmes at Leipzig Graduate School of Management (HHL) and the European School of Management and Technology (ESMT) in Berlin. In 2017 his book "Einfach schreiben im Beruf - wie Sie sich und Ihrem Leser eine Freude machen" [Writing simple texts in your job - How to make yourself and your readers happy] was published by Haufe Hannes leads writing, media, interview and crisis communication training seminars for technical experts and business executives from major groups and associations. At Intomedia he also heads the Print and Online Media Training unit.

Peter Susko

Having worked as a TV and radio journalist, Peter Susko possesses a deep understanding of the intricacies involved in effective communication for various media platforms. Furthermore, Peter's background in diplomacy adds an extra dimension to his training sessions. He is adept at incorporating diplomatic strategies and techniques into his approach, enabling trainees to navigate challenging media scenarios with poise and confidence. Peter Susko studied journalism at Comenius University in Bratislava. He began his career as a radio journalist in Bratislava, Slovakia, working for the foreign news department of Slovak Public Radio. In 1992, he was appointed international radio correspondent in Rome, Italy; in 1993, he was transferred to Washington, D.C., U.S.A. in the same capacity. Upon his return in 1995, Peter joined the private media as a radio and TV editor and presenter. He also has extensive experience from the other side of the "fence": in 2010 he became the spokesman of the Slovak Public Television, later he worked for the Ministry of Defence of the Slovak Republic as the head of the press department, from 2013 as the head of the press department and spokesman of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic. From 2018 to 2023, Peter served as the Ambassador Plenipotentiary of the Slovak Republic to the Republic of Croatia. He has been working with Intomedia since 2012.

Stefan Schimmel

Stefan started out as a theatre director staging plays for local, fringe and youth theatres. As a drama educator he was involved in projects with young people and adults in the fields of team building, improvisation, creativity and stage presence. He is a trained storyteller (Berlin University of the Arts) and creates storytelling events for various target groups. Stefan has written "Ihr Auftritt bitte" [You're on!] (published in German in 2010 by Goldegg), offering his experiences from both sides of the stage - both as actor and coach - for business purposes.

Thomas Kastner

Thomas Kastner is an expert in sales, corporate communication, presentation and negotiation. His expertise, gained over more than two decades in large organisations, helps our clients to make their business communication more effective and successful. Thomas Kastner started his career with seven years at IBM, where he was able to prove himself in purchasing with the handling of general contractor projects and managed large projects with the necessary overview. Later, he switched to sales, where he was responsible for PC software licences as a key account manager. In the course of his career, Thomas Kastner completed a course in advertising and sales and immediately applied the skills he had acquired at the communications group IWG-Holding in the sale of outdoor advertising to key accounts and in master management in direct marketing. Since 1997, Thomas has been working as an independent trainer for sales, presentation and negotiation in Austria and Germany. He not only passes on his expertise in trainings, but has also been a lecturer in the course Advertising and Sales at the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration since 2003.
