Kim Bailey

Kim Bailey provides districts, schools, and teams support as they work to systematically improve student learning. With over 40 years of educational experience and a background in special and general education, Kim has served as a teacher and administrator. Her most recent role was in Capistrano Unified School District where she served as Director of Professional Learning and Instructional support for 18 years. During her tenure, she worked to support the districtwide implementation of the Professional Learning Communities model. Now retired from the school district, Kim now works as an educational consultant with expertise in professional learning communities, effective assessment practices, and instructional leadership. She has co-authored four books, including Common Formative Assessment: A Toolkit for PLC Teams at Work (with Chris Jakicic), Collaborating for Success in the Common Core: A Toolkit for PLC Teams (with Chris Jakicic and Jeanne Spiller), and Simplifying Common Assessment: A Guide for Professional Learning Communities at Work.
