Alana joined the practice in 2014 and achieved a National Diploma in Dental nursing in 2015.
Christine Cosgrove GDC 294590 Christine joined the team in June 2021 as a qualified dental nurse. She was awarded her National diploma in dental nursing in January 2021. Christine enjoys all aspects of her job. This includes dental nursing and some reception duties, as well as helping out with decontamination duties. Outside work Christine enjoys spending time with her 3 horses and show jumping. She also enjoys photography and going outdoors and exploring and seeing new places.
Claire Andrews GDC 106419 Claire puts patient care and service as a top priority. She gained her National Certificate in Dental Nursing in 2006 and has since completed adequate knowledge in radiography and IOSH safety course. Claire enjoys all aspects of dentistry and particularly enjoys cosmetic dentistry procedures. Outside work Claire enjoys hill walking and cycling.
Diana started working at P G Lawson & Associates in 2010. She attained her National Examination in 2012.
Aine graduated from Cardiff University Wales in July 2016.
She completed her dental foundation year in the Banbridge practice.
Aine has successfully completed her MJDF, postgraduate qualification from Royal College of Surgeons, England in order to keep up with the latest dental advancements.
Aine has a particular interest in treating nervous and anxious patients.She also enjoys cosmetic dentistry such as tooth whitening and she has undergone training in facial cosmetics including anti-wrinkle treatments.
Aine now works between both the Banbridge and Ballynahinch practice. Outside of work she enjoys travelling, socialising with family and friends.

Dr Alannagh McDowell (BDS) Foundation Dentist. GDC Alannagh graduated from QUB in 2019. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry with a particular interest in cosmetic dentistry such as white composite fillings. She also enjoys treating anxious patients.
Anna graduated from Newcastle University in 2012 where she won the Marjorie Lamb and Jackson Long Prize for Dental Public Health.
Since graduating she has worked in NHS and Private practice in Newcastle and Manchester before recently returning home to Northern Ireland. Whilst in Manchester Anna completed the prestigious Tipton Restorative Dentistry Course and is currently studying for a postgraduate degree in Healthcare Ethics and Law (LLM) with the University of Manchester.
Anna enjoys all aspects of dentistry and particularly likes helping anxious patients overcome their fear of the dental environment.
She is a member of the British Dental Association and regularly attends courses to keep her up to date with the latest techniques!
Outside of Dentistry, Anna enjoys cycling, hiking, sailing and skiing.
Catherine graduated from QUB in 2018.
She joined the practice in September 2018 and has since enjoyed all aspects of general practice providing both NHS and private treatment for patients.
She is passionate about providing minimally invasive, preventative dentistry and particularly enjoys working with children and nervous patients.
Dr Claire McDonald (BDS) Associate Dentist. GDC 86176 Clare graduated from Trinity College Dublin with a Bachelor of Dental Science degree in 2005. She completed her vocational training year in Armagh where she continued to work in general practice for a further 7 years. She joined PG Lawson & Associates in 2013 and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She particularly enjoys treating children emphasising the importance of preventive care. With her caring and gentle approach, she aims to make their visit a positive experience.
Flora graduated from QUB with distinction. Since qualifying she has been working in a mixed NHS and private dental practice in Crossgar.
Flora has carried out facial aesthetic training with the renowned Dr Bob Khanna and now is providing a range of facial aesthetic treatment including anti-wrinkle and dermal fillers.
Flora is passionate about providing high quality, minimally invasive dentistry and will be practicing across our practices.
Helen qualified from Queen's University Belfast in 2009 and joined the practice in 2010 following the completion of her vocational training year in Coleraine.
Helen enjoys all aspects of dentistry especially teeth whitening, cosmetic crowns and bridges, and white fillings.
Helen is also able to provide anti-wrinkle and line softening treatments for her patients, as well as dermal fillers.
Helen enjoys walking, cycling and attending gym classes.
Kirsty Palmer studied at Glasgow university. She graduated 1999. Kirsty worked in Glasgow 1999-2000.
She joined the team at P G Lawson and Associates in August 2000.
Kirsty main interests are composite build-ups, cosmetic crowns but enjoys all areas of general dentistry.
Outside dentistry she enjoys family life, running and socialising with friends.
Peter graduated from Queens University Belfast in 1986, and became principal in the Banbridge practice. He has guided the surgery from a one-man operation to one of the biggest practices in N Ireland. His Ethos has been to provide patients with treatment that they want at a cost they can afford. In 2016 Comber and Ballynahinch were brought under the umbrella with our aim to provide high-quality family practices across mid-Co Down. Peter is committed to ongoing training and is one of 36 current DFI trainers in N Ireland.
Shannon graduated from Queens University Belfast in 2017.
She joined the practice in February 2018.
Shannon is settling in well at Lawson Dental and has been a hit with some of our younger patients!
She now splits her time between both the Banbridge and Comber practice.
Sinead graduated in 2012 from Queen's University Belfast with BDS. She completed her vocational training year in this practice and has been working here since. In this time she has gained many skills and has attended various courses to maintain continual professional development. In 2015 Sinead successfully completed her MJDF, postgraduate qualification from Royal College of Surgeons, England. She recently attended a Cosmetic Injectable Training Course and is fully certified in providing this service to patients. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry. She also works in Belfast City hospital and Craigavon hospital in the relief of pain clinics.Outside of work, she enjoys socialising with friends and family, retail therapy, babysitting, travelling and exercising!
Stuart graduated from the University of Dundee in 2009 and has worked throughout Scotland before returning to work in Derry/Londonderry in 2016.
He has an interest in oral surgery, having spent several years working within Hospital oral surgery departments.
Stuart has a calm, considerate nature which aids him in helping even the most nervous of patients have a positive dental experience.
Darren is originally from Poyntzpass but now lives in Belfast. He graduated from Queens University, Belfast in 2004 and worked as an associate Dentist in Derry for two years and Melbourne for one year before joining the practice in 2007. Darren recently became a Dental Foundation Educational Supervisor 2017/18.
Outside work Darren enjoys hillwalking, world travel, Irish language and GAA.
Emer Doran GDC 296595 Emer graduated from Queens University, Belfast and joined the practice in September 2021. She enjoys all aspects of dentistry and is passionate about conservative dentistry and believes in a holistic approach to oral healthcare. Outside work Emer enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends.
Emma joined the dental team in July 2021. She enjoys all aspects of her job particularly oral surgery and dealing with nervous children.
Outside of work Emma enjoys going to the gym and travelling to different countries.
Gayle has been dental nursing for 14 years she gained her National Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2005.
She has worked alongside Dental Implant Specialists but prefers working in a General Dental practice (where she gets to look after a wide variety of patients every day) and also has a keen interest in oral hygiene.
Gayle also is a very keen cake baker - the irony! They taste amazing and look even better!
Heather Murphy GDC 107257 Heather joined the team in October 2021. She has worked as a dental nurse for 22 years. She gained her National Certificate 20 years ago. She enjoys all aspects of dental nursing but endodontics and dealing with nervous patients are her real passion. Outside work Heather enjoys real life crime books, caring for her animals and helps out in her local charity shop.
Janine Burns Dental Hygenist. GDC 178569 Janine qualified from Queens University, Belfast in 2009 as a Dental Hygienist.Previous to this Janine worked as a Dental Nurse for 15 years working in Community and Hospital environments.Janine loves spending time with her family and friends, keen on running, going to the gym and when time allows heads out with her caravan to relax.
Jill White qualified from The Royal London School of Medicine & Dentistry in 1999, with Diplomas in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy. Post graduation she worked in London, before returning home to Northern Ireland. She has been with PG Lawson & Associates since March 2012. Outside work Jill enjoys spending time with her family and friends and has a keen interest in exercising to keep fit and healthy. This has also led her to undertake training in PiYo Live classes which she takes in the little spare time she has left.
Linda started her career as a Dental Nurse and receptionist in 1988 before progressing to the role of Practice manager.
Linda attained her National Certificate in 1990 and her certificate in OHE in 1994.
Outside work Linda enjoys Hill walking, cooking & photography.
She is an active member of her local Rainbow Unit.
Megan McVeigh Dental Nurse. GDC 268314 Megan joined the team in 2014 and got her diploma in dental nursing in 2016. Megan enjoys working with children and nervous patients. In her spare time, she enjoys running and travelling.
Melissa joined the practice in October 2016 as a placement student from Belfast Metropolitan College. Since completing her placement she has continued to work for us and has progressed by learning to work at reception as well as in surgery.
In her spare time she enjoys playing hockey for her local club, Kilkeel Hockey Club
Shauna joined the practice in May 2021 as a dental nurse. She loves work that specialise in oral surgery and Orthodontics.
Outside of work Shauna enjoys walking her two dogs through the Mourne Mountains and shopping for vintage clothing.

Stacey has been with Dr Peter Lawson from she has left school 24 years later. She enjoys working in surgery but most of her time is spent making sure the dentists are kept busy! She has a passion for endodontics and is hoping to do a dental nurse course on this in the near future. Her hobbies are running, reading and socialising with friends as well as spending time with her 3 girls which keep her on her toes!
Tanya joined the team back in 2004 and thoroughly enjoys working as a dental health care professional. She is friendly and likes working with children. She keeps up to date with current developments in Dental Nursing. Outside of work Tanya enjoys family life with her 3 children and socialising with family & friends.
