In addition, LCRA especially encourages its members to portray the ideals set by the NCRA (National Court Reporters Association), the official standard bearer in the nation... Formerly named Louisiana Shorthand Reporters Association, LCRA is the oldest professional court reporting organization in the State of Louisiana. Association records indicate that 1955 is the founding date of the organization.
