LIGAS

Ligas Kooperatiba ng Bayan sa Pagpapaunlad (LKBP), formerly Ligas Kilusang Bayan sa Pagpapaunlad, Inc. (LKBPI), was born on March 2, 1986 right after the historic EDSA Revolution. It originated from Barangay Ligas of then Malolos (now City of Malolos), Bulacan whose founding directors and members, mostly small businessmen and farmers, lamented the sorry state of the victims of loan sharks in their barangay.
