New River Periodontics and Dental Implant Center is pleased to announce the addition of another full-time board-certified periodontist to the practice. "Dr. Maryam" Habibzadeh is a "Cum Laude" graduate from the University of the East, Manila, Philippines. Upon graduation, she moved to the United Stated and completed a fellowship in the Community Dentistry then followed with specialty training in periodontics and implant dentistry at the Eastman Institute in Rochester, New York. Dr. Maryam also received certification in the administration IV sedation and laser periodontal treatment. She worked 2 years in Louisiana and Mississippi and earned board certification with The American Board of Periodontology. Dr. Maryam is well trained in dental implant surgery including full mouth implant rehabilitation, bone and sinus augmentation, surgical and orthodontic crown lengthening, soft tissue reconstruction as well as periodontal plastic surgical procedures. Her focus is interdisciplinary approaches to full mouth rehabilitative therapies. Dr Maryam is a member of The American Board of Periodontology, The American Academy of Periodontology (AAP), American Dental association (ADA) and Virginia Dental Association.
She is married to Chris (a former United States Marine) from "upstate" New York, and they have a delightful 2-year-old daughter, Sasha. They are outdoor enthusiasts with special interests in hiking and biking.
