BUCKHOLZ - Key Persons

Elizabeth Caldwell

Buckholz, Caldwell & Associates, Inc. is a multidimensional appraisal company that has grown from a one-person company founded in 1951 to a company with 9 employees. We are proud of our company and the legacy of our founder. Our firm was started in 1951 by Mr. Clarence C. Buckholz. Mr. Buckholz began working as an appraiser for the Southwest Savings and Loan Company and continued to work for this company until it was acquired in 1971. Our appraisal company expanded with the addition of Mr. James T. Caldwell in 1973. As the appraisal business continued to grow, more customers were added to the company's client base. Mr. Bruce Buckholz joined the company in 1977. Bruce and Jim worked together into the 1980s serving their customers and increasing the scope of their responsibilities to include the appraisal of industrial, commercial, and multifamily properties. Although interest rates peaked at all time highs in the early 1980s, customers demand for our services increased and the company continued to expand. Both our appraisal staff and our support staff grew during the 1980s and into the 1990s. In 1991 Beth Caldwell joined the company as a staff appraiser. With the addition of Beth the third generation of our family joined the firm and has provided for a continuation of family involvement well into the future. Beth graduated from The Ohio State University in 1991. Prior to joining Buckholz, Caldwell, & Associates as a full - time staff appraiser in 1991, Beth worked for several years at Buckholz & Caldwell on a part time basis where she began learning the appraisal business through report processing and research analysis. Because of this Beth has the special insight needed by an appraiser to analyze and value residential properties. Beth is a State Licensed residential appraiser and she is also a candidate through the American Society of Appraisers for the ASA designation. Beth is on the Lender Selection Roster of Appraisers for HUD/FHA appraisal work.
