Adam Resnik

With over a year of involvement in managing a recovery house, Adam's lived experience serves him well in meeting residents' needs. Adam went on to work in the clinical treatment setting as a chemical dependency counselor assistant for two years meeting with clients weekly to set recovery goals and address case management needs. His background has given him the understanding needed to treat individuals with compassion, and to direct his focus to the whole person rather than just their addiction. As a Certified Peer Recovery Specialist, Adam's person-centered approach allows him to assist residents in attaining personal growth with the guidance of not only his lived experiences, but also his clinical insight.​

Scott Shorts

Scott and his wife Kellie started Parkplace recovery housing in 2014 with the close collaboration of Ohio Recovery Housing. Scott became a member of the ORH board of directors in 2017, has been on the Coleman Professional Services Trumbull County Advisory council, is a member of the Hopetown Recovery Housing board of directors. Scott, Jarreth Ackerman and Adam Resnik started the peer support program at First Step Recovery in 2018, Scott is currently the Operations manager, and oversees the Peer Support Program at Hope Village Recovery along with Jarreth and Adam. Being in recovery himself since 2008, he has a passion for peer support and is eternally grateful for his support group. Currently, Scott and Kellie have four fantastic men who have come through the houses that oversee daily operations, including peer support services at the Recovery Houses in Warren.
