PARKIN ELECTRIC - Key Persons
Dave has been with Parkin Electric for 32 years where he started as a helper for his father Harry. Dave gained his Electrical license in 1990 and his General Supervisors license in 1994. He also holds a Washington State Master Electricians license.
Gary came to work for Parkin Electric in 1992 as an apprentice fresh out of Gresham High School, coming from his family owned and operated HVAC company, Rose Heating and Air Conditioning. Gary has worked up thru the ranks to his current position due to his natural ability to identify with a customer's vision, system requirements and the ability to provide the customer with cost effective solutions. Systems troubleshooting, design and integration are key attributes that make Gary the top of his class. Gary holds an Oregon General Electrical Supervisor's license, Oregon and Washington General Journeyman licenses, is a member of National Electrical Code Making Panel 9 representing the IEC National Codes and Standards Committee, volunteers as a board member on Oregon's Area 1 JATC for electrical apprenticeship training and is a 20 year member of the International Association of Electrical Inspectors (IAEI), one might say he is a bit of an electrical code nerd. A typical day for Gary starts early, 3:30am to be exact, when he wakes up to train with his teammates on the Oregon City Tankers Swim team as a member of US Masters Swimming. Born and bred in the Pacific NW, when Gary is away from work you will find him exploring Oregon and beyond in his custom built 4x4 Sprinter campervan where he enjoys camping, open water swimming, mountain biking, snowboarding and anything else outdoors. In March 2019, a major bucket-list item was checked off when he spent a month taking in the ‘Kiwi culture' while road tripping across the North and South islands of New Zealand in an RV with family friends. .

Laura Menard joined Parkin Electric in 2016 and has been making us laugh ever since. Her love for her job and our customers is overwhelmingly obvious. Originally from Massachusetts, her East Coast sarcasm keeps us on our toes. Laura reigns supreme over accounts payable, tool and equipment inventory, fleet vehicles and anything else you can throw at her. When not at work or shopping on Amazon, Laura is a #1 Grandma and wife to Tammy.
Maureen (Dave's wife) comes to Parkin Electric with a degree in Community Health Education from Portland State University. Maureen oversees our safety program ensuring the safe work environment and practices of all our employees. The company safety record is a testament to her hard work and dedication. Her other duties included general Corporate accounting management and Company policy management. Maureen is currently Chairman of the Area 2 Electrical Training Trust and serves on the boards of The Independent Electrical Contractors of Oregon as Treasurer. In 2014 Maureen was awarded Business Leader of the Year by the Oregon City Chamber of Commerce. Maureen's hobbies include gardening, cooking, boating and horseback riding. She also enjoys fishing and is much more effective at fishing than her husband Dave.
Mike joined the Parkin Electric team as an electrical helper in the summer of 1994 just after graduating from Gresham High School (yes, Gary's little brother). He had a drive to work and a passion to learn. Mike ran Parkin Electric's underground electrical division until he became a Journeyman electrician in 2008. Mike currently holds General Journeyman licenses in both Oregon and Washington. As one of Parkin's senior team members, Mike brings 25 plus years of experience to his Project Manager/Estimator role. In 2017, he completed Kohler generator installation training at Kohler's factory in Wisconsin. When Mike is not at work, you will find him spending time with his wife and two daughters, sleeping-in, cooking, photography and rockhounding.
Tammy started her career in the US Army. From there she completed her electrical training as an apprentice and then journeyman electrician in Massachusetts. With over 20 years of training, Tammy joined Parkin Electric in 2015 as a Project Manager/Estimator. With her vast experience, she is a Rockstar when it comes to electrical design/build projects as well as a variety of residential, commercial, and industrial installations. In her spare time, Tammy enjoys being outdoors, building things and riding quads with her grandson Jay.
Tonya came to Parkin Electric in 1997 as a receptionist. Her current duties include billing, scheduling, job tracking and project accounting. She has a great attitude and is well liked by all of our customers and employees.
