PEREA ELEMENTARY

Perea Elementary is a public charter school located in North Memphis. Opened in Fall 2018, our school brings a unique, nationally-acclaimed elementary school model to Memphis... Our goal at the time was to ensure that all Perea graduates left with the necessary academic and social skills for success in school. That vision has remained unchanged and has been strengthened through the years by the addition of support services and numerous community partners... While students ultimately attend school to master academic standards and skills, we believe that social-emotional learning stands side-by-side with academic learning. Social-emotional health is the ability to understand and manage one's emotions, reactions and relationships.
