With more than 17 years of legal experience, and licensed to practice law in Alberta, Canada & Massachusetts, USA, Shane's practice focuses on business immigration law (Canada and US bound) and business law (corporate & commercial law), acting for a broad range of clients across North America, including publicly traded international corporations, small to medium sized private companies to individuals and start-ups. Having practiced within one of the largest national law firms in Canada, as in-house counsel for a global engineering firm with more than 20,000 employees, and having been a business owner as well, Shane has practical experience advising clients through a variety of legal matters and believes that the practice of law can and should be practical, facilitative, accessible and have price certainty.
For immigration matters, he represents clients on a broad range of matters, including visitor visa, work permit and permanent resident applications, whether they are consular, port of entry or processing centre submissions. Shane's immigration practice has a particular focus on assisting clients with multi-jurisdictional operations, developing global mobility strategies with a network serving over 100 countries that allow clients to mobilize human capital in a global economy. He also enjoys helping companies establish new operations in Canada and the United States, either by expansion or acquisition, and oversees employee transfers to these jurisdictions. His immigration practice is based on a fixed fee basis, providing cost certainty to clients.
For general corporate commercial matters, Shane acts as de-facto General Counsel, dealing with a myriad of general corporate & commercial matters. He has assisted clients in handling their incorporation, drafting various commercial agreements, as well as responding to and negotiating contracts issued under RFPs. He has also assisted in performing the due diligence required in the sale or purchase of companies and other assets. His business law practice includes bulk hourly rates that allow access to legal advice at a lower rate than traditional law firms.
Outside of practicing law, Shane is an avid outdoorsman, music lover and traveller, and works hard to deserve the title "Best Dad in The World".

Stephen is a bilingual (Spanish and English) US Attorney which allows him to communicate effectively with his clients. During his practice, he has handled many cases including immigration and criminal matters. He handles each case uniquely in the ways that he communicates with clients, looks for creative solutions and protects his client's best interest.
He also serves the local community through voluntary work as the Chair for the Grand County Change of Form of Government. He has represented clients on a pro-bono basis and provided services to indigent clients as a conflict counsel for Grand and San Juan Counties. Additionally, he has worked with Utah Legal Services, Inc. to provide support to individuals who have faced legal challenges and need assistance through the legal system. This has allowed him to represent many clients in seeking protective orders and stalking injunctions to protect themselves from abusers.
His goal is to help his clients navigate through the legal system and understand the possible outcomes. He does not "sugar coat" outcomes and is frank with his clients so that they understand the risks involved in their cases and explains the law clearly so that each client best understands their individual case.
