What does a mother of two boys do when they both move out? She converts their rooms into a sewing and craft room! My grandma taught me to sew doll clothes when I was a child. My mom who is also a seamstress gave me some valuable tips and introduced me to the world of fabric, and then how to produce and sell my product. I started buying fabric, kept trying out different crafting ideas and discovered I am addicted. My first machine was a used $25 garage sale special. When my mom discovered I was using such an old machine she was quick to give me a brand new Singer to use, then later surprised me with a wonderful Bernina! As my hobby grew so did my stash of fabric. I realized I needed to come up with products to sell in order to support my new addiction (fabric!). Not only has my hobby turned into a way to earn some extra cash but it has also helped me develop an even stronger relationship with my Mom. Life is good.
