SHEARWATER SAILING CLUB

It is with sadness that we announce the dissolution of Shearwater Sailing Club. Fifty years after its founding in 1970, SSC is closing its doors (figuratively, anyway, it's been a while since the club has had any actual doors). We are grateful to the many members who have passed through those doors and to the members of the Annapolis sailing community who have participated in our many races and other activities over the years... We are pleased that two of SSC's current races appear to have found new homes. The popular Twilight Race, the oldest of Shearwater's races, will be organized in 2022 by the Sailing Club of the Chesapeake. And the newest race, the Cove Point Classic Regatta, first sailed in 2018, will be organized by the Cambridge Yacht Club this year. We hope you will continue to support and enjoy both races
