Shooting Star Lodge was founded in the early 90's by Elly Mlang'a who is still owning the lodge. Starting as a simple bar/restaurant and B&B, over the years the small enterprise has metamorphosed from a simple beach bar and banda cottages to the authentic African boutique lodge that it is today, increasing the quality without losing the connection to the traditional roots... Shooting Star Boutique Hotel is located at the beach in Kiwengwa, on the East Coast of Zanzibar. Surrounded by tropical gardens with stunning views across the endless Indian Ocean, featuring two outdoor infinity pools, restaurant and spa.
