Agustín Sánchez Alcázar joined Southern Cross Group in 2007 and worked for almost 5 years as an Analyst in our Bs As office before leaving for his MBA in Columbia University. After receiving his MBA he worked for LATAM Airlines Group based in Santiago de Chile as Business Development Manager. Mr. Sánchez Alcázar rejoined the Group in 2015 as VP. Prior to joining Southern Cross in 2007, he was a Professional Associate at American Life Insurance Company.

Claudia López joined Southern Cross in February 2016 as the firm´s Internal Auditor and Compliance Executive. Prior to Southern Cross, Claudia López worked for 6 years in Julius Baer (formerly Bank of America - Merrill Lynch) where she became the regional Internal Audit Manager; after working as an external audit manager at Deloitte for 6 years.
Education
Claudia López received her Accounting degree at the Universidad de la República Oriental del Uruguay. She is also a certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist at ACAMS, and received her certification as a Uruguayan Compliance Officer at the ISEDE - Escuela de Negocios (Universidad Católica del Uruguay).
Diego Acevedo joined Southern Cross Group in 2010 and serves(d) as board member of Planigrupo, Estrella and the Port of Barranquilla. Prior to joining Southern Cross, Mr. Acevedo managed the Colombian office of Palmfund, a Latin American private equity fund where he led successful investments in Colombia, Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Before then, he worked for Booz in the New York and Bogotá offices.

Diego Acevedo graduated with an Industrial Engineering degree from Universidad de los Andes in Colombia and has an MBA from Stanford University.
Fabian Paez joined Southern Cross Group in April 2019. Prior to joining Southern Cross Group, Mr. Paez worked as an Investment Banking Associate at Goldman Sachs Argentina focusing on M&A and equity capital markets transactions. Before that, he worked as an Investment Banking Associate for Itaú BBA Latin America in the Bogota office.

Mr. Paez holds a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering and a B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes.
Gonzalo Alende Serra joined Southern Cross in 2007, is the firm's Chief Administrative Officer and serves(d) as a board member of Ultrapetrol and SMU. Prior to Southern Cross, Mr. Alende Serra worked at Tenaris where he had regional responsibilities. Before then, he worked at Impsat, PricewaterhouseCoopers and McKinsey.

Gonzalo Alende Serra received his Accounting degree at the Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires, an MBA from Imperial College and an LLM from the University of London; he is a CPA and a CFA Charterholder.
Guillermina Torres joined Southern Cross in August of 2016 and works in Accounting and Reporting. Prior to Southern Cross, Guillermina worked in private banking at Saxo Capital Markets in Private Sales.

Guillermina received her Business Administration degree at Universidad ORT in 2015 and an Accounting degree from the Universidad ORT in 2016.
Gustavo Santos joined Southern Cross in 2011. Prior to joining Southern Cross, Gustavo worked at Araújo Fontes, an M&A boutique located in Belo Horizonte. Prior to joining Araújo Fontes, Mr. Santos worked at the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil.

Mr. Santos holds a Business Administration degree from Ibmec Business School and in 2007 participated in an exchange program at the Universitat de Barcelona.
Jaime Besa joined Southern Cross Group in December 2015. Prior to joining Southern Cross Group, Mr. Besa was Managing Director of Drake Holdings, the direct investments group of the Ibañez family, involved in the acquisition of direct stakes in companies with a view of influencing management and creating value. Before that, he was an Associate with the Latin America Corporate Finance team for Deutsche Bank and worked as a Summer Associate at McKinsey & Company.

Mr. Besa holds an MBA from MIT Sloan, a Master in Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School and a B.Sc. and ME in Civil Engineering from Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile.
José M. Murphy joined Southern Cross Group in 2019. Prior to joining the company, José worked as regional controller for Timwe Group and subsequently, as an independent corporate finance & wealth management advisor.

Prior to joining Southern Cross, Mr. Mulcahy was CEO of Ecnex International, an IT services company, which he led to become the largest broadband services provider for the Latin American hospitality sector. Before then, Marcos worked at BAMA, an Argentine investment banking boutique; and Perez Companc, a leading Argentine energy company.

Maria Jose Bonadonna joined Southern Cross in 2012 and works in Finance and Administration. Before then, she was an auditor with PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Norberto Morita co-founded Southern Cross Group and has been the firm's Chairman since 1998. He is a member of the firm's Executive and Investment Committees, and serves(d) as board member of Juncadella Prosegur, The Value Brand Company, La Polar, Supermercados del Sur, SIN, Brinox, HotelDO, Chilesat, South-Net, and ESSBIO. Prior to founding Southern Cross, Mr. Morita served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Bemberg Group and its largest operation, Quilmes Industrial, at the time the dominant beer producer in the southern cone of Latin America. Before then, he served as General Manager of Corning France, the French subsidiary of Corning Inc., a major global glass manufacturer.

Fernando joined Southern Cross in 2022. Before joining the company, Fernando worked as a financial strategist for MD Partners, a Mexican CFO as-a-service firm. Prior to that, Mr. Orozco worked as an associate for Canvas Partners, a Mexican Private Equity firm.
Paula Mandiola joined Southern Cross in 2007 and works in Finance and Administration. Prior to Southern Cross, Mrs. Mandiola worked at Genus PLC, a biotech company where she was responsible for financial reporting.

Raul Sotomayor joined Southern Cross Group in 1998, he is a member of the firm's Investment and Executive Committees, and serves(d) as board member of La Polar, Chilesat, CGTA, ESSBIO, Laboratorios Northia, Supermercados del Sur, The Value Brands, GasAtacama, Project Eagle and Brinox.
