Research Interests: I am broadly interested in understanding the etiology and treatment of alcohol and other substance use disorders from a translational and clinical neuroscience perspective. My research strives to answer two primary questions. First, how can human subjects research best promote consilience between preclinical neuroscience and clinical research? Second, how can human laboratory research effectively advance treatment development efforts for addictive disorders. To accomplish these aims, my research agenda is based on the application of state-of-the-art experimental paradigms including controlled alcohol administration paradigms, alcohol self-administration, cue reactivity paradigms, and stress exposures. I am also interested in the application of advanced statistical techniques to facilitate and further my research aims including: multilevel random coefficient modeling, structural equation modeling, non-linear modeling and growth curve modeling.Clinical Work: I am..
