April Mozer

April Mozer has been active in the customer service field for over 17 years. She has experience working with a variety of people helping them meet their needs. Her history of managerial duties and telephonic communications make her the perfect fit for the Strategic Mental Health family. She currently serves at the appointment scheduler for Strategic Mental Health. April is the first point of contact and helps patients navigate through making appointments and gathering information to make their visit to the clinic a seamless one.

Chris McClaran

Chris McClaran is the Executive Assistant for Strategic Mental Health. He is responsible for the day-to-day management of various business aspects, including financial management, customer service, information management, computer troubleshooting, sales support, human resources, financial tracking and analysis, contracting, and communication with management. He has a long history in the service industry, with over 15 years of experience in direct asset engagement and managerial duties. He works closely with the entire staff to ensure equipment and organizational needs are met, they have everything they need to do their jobs well, they have accurate and timely information on which to base decisions, and provide the necessary office support to keep things running smoothly. Diana Cox

Diana Cox received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master of Business Management with an emphasis on Healthcare Systems Management from Grand Canyon University. Ms. Cox also holds a Master of Science in Nursing from Arizona State University specializing as an Adult Psychiatric/Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Currently, Ms. Cox holds privileges as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner at St. Luke's Behavioral Health Center. She is experienced in home health care and geriatric psychiatry. Ms. Cox developed an interest in geriatric psychiatry while working at St. Luke's Generations after experiencing the complexity of patients with late-life psychosis, dementia, and mood disorders.

Lauren Beals

Lauren Beals is an Arizona State University Alumni and holds a Masters in Social Work. She is licensed by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health and is currently working towards her certification under the supervision of Dr. Adeel Zafar. Lauren has dedicated her social work career to assisting clients in the field of mental health and has extensive experience serving the geriatric population. Lauren provided social services and therapy for a psychiatric hospital unit for almost ten years and believes in an integrative approach that assesses both the mental and physical health of each client. Her experience working with patients and families in an acute hospital setting has motivated her to assist clients on an outpatient basis; preventing future hospitalizations. Lauren incorporates a strengths perspective in her work with clients and believes that each client has the ability to attain the goals that they set forth.

Mary McClaran

Mary McClaran RN, BSN has 30 years of experience in the nursing field, including psychiatric/mental health care, emergency room, home health, and nursing education. She received her nursing diploma from Western Nebraska General Hospital in 1983 and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University in 2005. At Strategic Mental Health, Mary has the opportunity to care for many adult patients with severe depression, anxiety or dementia, which gives her insights into the complex needs of these patients and their access to appropriate and affordable care. Mary's duties are focused on patient education, care coordination, and case management. Mary says, "The best part of my job is educating the patients. I like to work in partnership with the patients to promote a healthy lifestyle using effective coping skills and understanding their medications in order to have the best possible outcome." Sylvia Banks

Mrs. Banks is a Licensed Counselor providing Individual Counseling in Mental Health, Substance and other addictions. Mrs. Banks completed her Bachelor of Science in Human Services with Minors of Substance and Gambling Counseling from the University of Nevada in Las Vegas, and a Master of Science in Professional Counseling from Grand Canyon University. Mrs. Banks believes each person is unique with different needs in therapy. She finds that the most important aspect of therapy is the therapeutic relationship between counselor and client. She utilizes an integrative therapeutic approach that compliments individual's goals to promote positive change in helping each person reach their full potential. Her primary experience is working with community mental health for in-patient and out-patient services including alcohol and drug rehabilitation.

Venus Bonnett

Venus Bonnett is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Venus holds a Masters of Nursing Science with an emphasis in Clinical Education from Grand Canyon University and a Post-Masters certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the University of St. Francis in Joliet, IL. Venus has 13 years of experience in the field of mental health, including chemical dependency and inpatient detox. Venus diagnoses and treats a variety of mental illnesses, screens for medical issues that contribute to mental health, and provides medication management based on each patient's individual symptoms.
