My name is Crystal and I'm a proud half-Filipino woman and a recent graduate of the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine. I've completed 2 years of Basic Sciences on the island of St. Maarten, my OBGYN and Surgery rotations in the UK, and my remaining clinical rotations in New York! I "Matched" into Family Medicine at the University of Wyoming. I was inspired to document my experiences after reading through Diary of a Caribbean Medical Student, by Dr. Benji Ho. His guide truly settled my nerves about my transition to AUC. I created this blog mainly to keep in touch with my beloved friends and family, but if it helps other curious individuals along the way, fantastic!
