The Stòras na h-Òigridh | Treasures of Youth Scholarship Endowment fund is offering three $1,000 scholarships and two $500 scholarship in 2023 to Nova Scotia youths between the ages 5-21 with a keen interest to advance their skills in one or more of the following Scottish Gaelic traditions: fiddle, pipes, piano/guitar accompaniment, language, storytelling, song and dance. The Fund, managed by the Community Foundation of Nova Scotia (CFNS), has provided $18,000 to 20 youth across the province over the past nine years. The 2022 recipients were Taya MacDonald of Mabou, Mya Ehler of Whycocomagh, and Amelia Parker of Central West River. Applications must be completed on-line through the CFNS website.
