Dr. Alicia Traktman

Dr. Hamid Djalilian

Hamid Djalilian, M.D. is board-certified and fellowship trained in Otology, Neurotology, and Skull Base Surgery. In addition to routine conditions of the ear, Dr. Djalilian's areas of expertise include complex ear surgery, hearing loss, balance disorders, facial nerve paralysis, and skull base surgery. He received his medical degree with honors from the University of Minnesota and completed his Otolaryngology residency at the same institution. He completed his fellowship training at the Minnesota Ear, Head & Neck Clinic and the University of Minnesota. Prior to UC Irvine, he was on the faculty at the University of Illinois, Cedars Sinai Medical Center, and UCLA. He has published numerous articles and lectured widely on these subjects. In addition to a busy clinical practice, Dr. Djalilian conducts research in several areas related to cochlear implants, acoustic neuroma, and chronic ear disease. Dr. Djalilian has developed several innovative devices for the treatment of hearing loss, imbalance, and tinnitus which are undergoing clinical trials.

Harrison W. Lin

Harrison W. Lin, M.D. is a board-certified otolaryngologist and fellowship-trained in otology, neurotology, and skull base surgery. Dr. Lin graduated with honors from Harvard University and received his medical degree from the University of Southern California. He then returned to Boston for his otolaryngology-head and neck surgery residency at Harvard Medical School, training at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and Children's Hospital Boston. After residency, he successfully completed a fellowship in neurotology and skull base surgery at UC San Diego. As an Assistant Professor, Dr. Lin is a principal investigator in the UCI Center for Hearing Research and conducts basic science and clinical research on hearing and balance disorders at the UCI main campus. He has published over 60 peer-reviewed articles and numerous chapters and reviews. Dr. Lin is also active in many other academic endeavors, including the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, American Otological Society, American Neurotology Society, and Triological Society. He enjoys educating residents and medical students and working closely with them to advance their clinical, surgical and research goals.
