TUFAKENYA

TuFAK over the years has undertaken policy and advocacy related to the implementation of the Blue Economy initiatives in the country, these include participation in stakeholder engagement meetings related to port development projects along the Kenyan coast, as well as in the review of national laws, policies, and strategies such as the national blue economy strategy, fisheries management, and development regulations, national tuna fisheries management and development strategy 2024-2028, national wildlife strategy 2030, etc. TuFAK is also active in ensuring its member CSOs participate in local to global sustainable Blue Economy discourse. TuFAK also works the community groups in undertaking conservation and restoration of mangroves and coral reefs for fisheries sustainability...
