Christopher J. Broccolo

Chris Broccolo is responsible for developing and implementing market and investment strategies, asset selection, and underwriting and client relationships. Since forming the company in 2003, Verus acquired 2,200 acres of land and initiated eleven million square feet and $760 million of development projects throughout the United States and Canada. Prior to forming Verus, Chris was Vice President, Development for Higgins Development Partners, where Chris was responsible for managing the firm's activities in the Midwest and Toronto. Chris began his career in 1984, and has extensive background in acquiring, developing, financing, and leasing all types of income producing property.

Elkins Wetherill

Elky Wetherill's responsibilities are managing and coordinating the firm's development activities in the Mid-Atlantic Region, which includes developing and implementing market strategies, identifying opportunities, site selection and analysis, acquisition, entitlements, client and broker relationships and coordinating project team members.

Jay J. Marr

Job Titles:
  • Principal, Land Development
Jay Marr manages all aspects of the land development process, which includes site selection, due diligence, budgeting, land planning, government approvals, design and construction management, and infrastructure improvements. Since forming Verus in 2003, Jay managed the development of twenty-three business parks totaling 1,800 acres in markets throughout the United States and Canada. Prior to forming Verus in 2003, Jay was Vice President, Development for Higgins Development Partners and its predecessor firm Walsh, Higgins & Company, which he joined in 1989. Over his career Jay has been involved in the development of thousands of acres of business parks and over 20 million square feet of industrial, office and mixed-use facilities. Jean Foss

Jean Foss oversees the accounting, financial, insurance and human resource management for all corporate and existing entities. With almost 20 years of real estate accounting experience, Jean manages the accounting team and provides accounting, financial, tax and audit reporting to owners and investors of the existing property portfolio including acquisitions and sales throughout the United States and Canada. Prior to joining Verus, Jean was Corporate Accounting Manager for Related Midwest in Chicago responsible for managing the accounting and financial processes for new luxury high-rise developments and historical preservation developments throughout the Midwest. Jean began her career in public accounting and became a Senior Accountant before migrating into private industry.

Robert D. McCormick

Bob McCormick manages all aspects of development and construction for build-to-suit and speculative building projects. Responsibilities include design and construction management, municipal coordination and customer interface. Since forming the company in 2003, Bob has successfully managed the completion of twenty-eight office and industrial buildings totaling nearly eight million square feet ranging in size from 60,000 to over 1,000,000 square feet. Verus currently has over $600 million of projects in its development pipeline, including $220 million currently under construction. Prior to forming Verus, Bob was Senior Vice President, Development for Higgins Development Partners and its predecessor firm Walsh, Higgins & Company where he began his career in 1981. Over his career Bob has managed the development of over 25 million square feet of office, industrial and mixed-use facilities. Ryan D. Hahn

Ryan Hahn manages the development of land, infrastructure, build-to-suit and speculative projects. His responsibilities include the administration of the planning and approval process, management of the construction team, as well as assisting with due diligence research and land acquisition. Since joining the company in 2006, Ryan has successfully managed the completion of industrial, office, medical and manufacturing projects throughout midwestern and other US markets totaling more than 9,000,000 square feet of space and with a development value of over $500M; which includes build-to-suit office projects for Procter & Gamble in Fayetteville, Arkansas (62,000 SF), Mercy Health in Cincinnati, Ohio (368,000 SF), TMG Health in Jessup, Pennsylvania (153,000 SF) and Ashland in Lexington, Kentucky (162,000 SF). Prior to joining Verus, Ryan was Vice President of United Construction Ent. Co. where he managed the construction of industrial, office and medical projects. Education University of Missouri - Rolla

Timothy J. McEnery

Job Titles:

Tim McEnery coordinates all of the company's debt and equity capital, financial analysis, and accounting administration for corporate and project-related requirements. Tim also is responsible for negotiating, purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, joint venture documents and leases.
