Allen Markovic is a certified Physician Assistant specializing in Medical and Surgical Dermatology. He graduated with honors from The Ohio State University with a degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences from their School of Allied Medicine.
He then went on to work as a clinical laboratory scientist for the Cleveland Clinic on their main campus as a blood bank specialist. Later he went on to graduate from Touro University of Nevada from their Masters of Physician Assistant program where he also qualified as a medical student tutor for the Office of Academic Services and Institutional Support.
After graduation, Allen has accrued over 7 years of Dermatology experience working for practices such as Academic Dermatology of Nevada, AboutSkin Dermatology, Placer Dermatology, UCDavis Health, and the Berman Skin Institute.
His medical interests include diagnosis of skin malignancies with early surgical intervention, treating and managing a variety of skin conditions including skin cancer, psoriasis, acne, warts, rashes, and other dermatology disease processes for all skin types and ages.
Doctor Gant is a Board Certified Dermatologist and fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She completed her undergraduate studies at Duke University, then returned to her native Ohio to attend the Ohio State School of Medicine, where she was a member of the Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society. Dr. Gant also completed her Dermatology residency at Ohio State, serving as the Chief Resident in her final year.
After three years practicing a combination of private and academic dermatology on the East Coast, Dr. Gant and her family settled in Northern California and she has been practicing in the area since 2012. Her husband, Dr. Jon Gant is an orthopedic hand surgeon and practices locally as well.
Dr. Gant enjoys all aspects of medical dermatology with a special focus in acne and rosacea as well as skin cancer prevention. She enjoys the ongoing relationships she has with her patients and she strives to incorporate the best new practices and technology into her care.
Dr. Gant has over ten years of experience in aesthetic treatments with advanced training in laser and light sources, neuromodulators, dermal fillers, sclerotherapy and microneedling. She has taught Dermatology residents cosmetic injection techniques as well as laser safety and training.
When away from the office, Dr. Gant enjoys spending time outside with her husband and two young children, as well as cheering for Duke basketball and Big Ten football.
Nina has been nurse in the Sacramento area for 19 years. In her early years, cardiology was her specialty. Over 11 years ago, she had the opportunity to transition to aesthetics, which included the world of Plastic Surgery and Dermatology. She has never looked back!
Nina is a firm believer of the mind and body connection for overall health. Healing the inside and outside, and looking as good as you feel! When she is is not making us feel our most beautiful, Nina enjoys cooking, gardening, raising chickens and enjoying nature.

Wendy is a certified Physician Assistant, specialized in Dermatology, with over 15 years of experience in medicine. Wendy joined the West Oak team in January of 2021.
She earned her undergraduate degree at UCLA and received her masters degree at the University of Colorado School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program.
Wendy has expertise in all ages, skin types, and ethnicities for a full spectrum of conditions. She has specific expertise in skin cancer screening, acne treatment protocols and the diagnosis of various rashes. Her gentle demeanor and meticulous approach make her a valuable member to the team.
