Abdullah Miah

Abdullah is a civil engineer with over 18 years' experience in the consultancy sector for infrastructure development. His roles in various projects and organisations include: project planning, coordination of design teams, asset management system and maintenance management systems, capacity building, procurement, project and contracts management (including International Federation of Consulting Engineers-based contracts), project and budget controls, construction supervision and management. He also has working experience in complete cycle projects, in both the roads and buildings sectors, including six years' work on the Fael Khair Schools-cum-Cyclone Shelters Construction Project in Bangladesh. Most of the projects Abdullah has worked on have been funded through international development partners (DFID, ADB, WB, JICA, CRC, CIDA and IDB). He is also familiar with international standards and requirements of development aid work. Abdullah has been employed by IMC in a variety of roles since 2004, and from January 2009 he is a permanent staff member of IMC. He has worked on a number of projects across Bangladesh, Indonesia, Nepal and Ethiopia. Since 2009, he has also been providing support to the IMC's business development on the preparation of proposals and contract negotiations. Over 18 years of professional experience in infrastructure development, focusing on project planning and management, procurement, contracts management, capacity building, project and budget controls, construction supervision and business development.

Adele Monk

Adele joined IMC midway through 2015 creating a new Human Resource function. Prior to joining IMC, Adele had worked across all sectors: working as HR Manager within a charity, HR Manager at a college and also working as a Regional Business Partner within a large retail chain and within distribution centres. Alexandra Cervini Mull

Bringing over eight years of international development experience, Alexandra has worked in the preparation of proposals for both formative and summative evaluations across a range of thematic areas and a wide spectrum of clients, including many UN agencies and international NGOs. In doing so, she identifies opportunities with the UN, international NGOs, governments and other donors, engages consultants and strategic partners, and develops proposals, including the methods and tools for evaluations. Additionally, Alexandra regularly contributes her expertise as a team member in primary data collection activities in our evaluations, with a specific focus on the area of gender and social inclusion and has undertaken several field missions for evaluations for UNFPA, UN Women, the World Bank (CGAP), and Plan International. Illustratively, Alexandra undertook a field mission to Turkey for the Evaluation of UNFPA's response to the Syrian Crisis, as well as to Nigeria for the baseline evaluation of UNFPA's Real Time Accountability Partnership, which addresses programming related to the prevention of and response to gender-based violence. Prior to joining ISG and then IMC, Alexandra worked for Women Thrive Worldwide, a Washington D.C.-based women and girls' rights organisation. Moreover, she lived in Denmark where she also worked with DANIDA-funded projects in sub-Saharan Africa, assisting with programme management and monitoring and evaluation of small-scale farming programming with a gender component. Andre Steele

Andre Steele heads up IMC's growing water sector. He is a Chartered Civil Engineer with the UK Institute of Civil Engineers and has core engineering skills in design, including in geotechnics, structures and drainage. His interests lie more in the water sector though, with extensive experience in building climate resilience into infrastructure, management of surface and ground water resources and in water supply, waste and wastewater and sanitation. He has a diverse background, with a PhD in post-emergency water supply systems. Andre is currently the technical lead on the IMC Technical Assistance project to an NGO supporting water utilities in northern Syria. He is also part of a team supporting the Ministry of Water in Tanzania looking at the life cycle cost of rural water supply as part of the Water and Sanitation Development Programme. Andre is also an Technical Co-ordinator for Infrastructure on the DFID CEIL-PEAKS Framework. Prior to joining IMC, Andre spent 7 years working in disaster relief, responding to many of the major events over the last 10 years, including the Haitian Earthquake in 2010 and Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar in 2008. As a RedR member, he continues to be active in humanitarian sector. Ten years of experience in engineering, international development and humanitarian response, with focus on the water sector including water supply, sanitation and water resource management.

Arielle Dove

Arielle is a politically aware and experienced professional with dynamic leadership skills gained from managing projects in Ethiopia, Cuba, India, Nepal, Kenya, the USA, and the UAE. She works as part of the frameworks team at IMC Worldwide where she manages the implementation of the DFID funded Access to Justice Program Impact Evaluation in South Sudan, as well as a GOAL-funded water and sanitation framework in Syria. As part of the frameworks team, Arielle also actively seeks new business opportunities for IMC and liaises with various donors, partners and consultants from around the world. Prior to joining IMC, Arielle worked for WaterAid where she assisted in the development of a strategy to attracting more funding. From quality assuring project development and reports, to developing marketing materials to increase visibility and support, Arielle has a keen understanding of the water and sanitation sector and fundraising. Her work at the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum led her to manage relationships with multinational organisations as well as governmental agencies around the world, particularly Finance Ministries, Central Banks, Pension Funds and Sovereign Wealth Funds. Arielle speaks English, French and Spanish. A forward-thinking individual dedicated to the ideals of international development with five years of experience both in relationship building and project management, backed by a solid formation in international relations.

Ben Walker

Bryony's most recent work focuses on how to enable and support innovation for the benefit of poor and marginalised communities, with a particular focus on understanding the innovation ecosystem around markets for the poor. This ecosystem assessment is critical in understanding how innovation gets to scale and how the application of incentives might help drive innovation. Chris Davies

Damien Faget

Damien has over seven years' experience in international development, designing and delivering complex and large scale programmes as well as conducting Research and Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL). Prior to joining IMC, Elena worked as a Project Manager for Maxwell Stamp, where she was responsible for the management of large scale public sector projects in emerging markets, working for clients such as the Department for International Development and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. Previously, Elena led research, analysis and reporting for several evaluations and high-profile public consultations in the health, sustainability and infrastructure sectors in the UK for Public Management Group, London. Elena has contributed to various evaluations and provided technical analysis for Aid for Trade programmes in Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa. He has managed various projects in Africa in countries such as Botswana, Ethiopia, the Gambia, Malawi, South Sudan and Uganda and in the Caribbean in countries such as the Netherland Antilles, Guyana and Belize. Fazlun also has experience in managing projects funded by the donors such as African Development Bank, Caribbean Development Bank, UK DfID, government agencies, Inter-American Development Bank, World Bank, and the EU. Fazlun is a qualified Civil Engineer and has experience in various projects ranging from structural assessments of rail bridges in Wales, to a Capacity Building Project in Road Maintenance Sector in Africa. Francisco Riera

Currently, Francisco works as Project Manager in the Project Management Unit at IMC. Primarily, he is working with the Global Programmes and Africa Region, contributing to the successful delivery of different projects, including Ideas to Impact, Frontier Technology Livestream, Compass, and BRACE II and three EU funded Technical Assistance Projects in Uganda Road Sector. Moreover, Francisco was the Project Manager for two Supply Chain Mapping projects delivered in Mexico, first IMC projects in Latin America. Prior to joining IMC, Francisco worked in the Paraguayan National Emergency Secretariat as Head of the International Affairs Unit. He represented Paraguay in several meetings at both multilateral and intergovernmental levels. Francisco was also the designated focal point for international donors and carried out regular monitoring of the implementation of all donor-funded Government initiatives within this sector. In addition, Francisco worked within the United Nations System in Paraguay, particularly in the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights and the United Nations Development Programme. During his time in these agencies, he supported the project management of several initiatives with a focus on poverty reduction, disaster risk reduction, and human rights. He also has five years volunteering experience as a Firefighter in Paraguay. Gavin is the Managing Director of IMC Worldwide a multi-disciplinary business providing consultancy services to governments, donor organisations, disaster relief agencies and private sector corporations in developing and transitional countries. Gavin has over thirty years' worldwide experience in engineering, planning and management. He has a passion for international development, in particular in urban and rural development, transport infrastructure, governance and organisational change, and disaster response and reconstruction. Throughout his career Gavin has had consultancy, management and project director roles on major consultancy projects worldwide. After graduating from Manchester University in 1982 he joined Cumbria County Council where he trained as a Graduate Engineer. In the early 90's he began his international career initially working on the design of major infrastructure projects in Hong Kong, Brunei and China and then on technical assistance and institutional development projects in the poorest countries in sub Saharan Africa and Asia. Gavin has been the Managing Director of IMC Worldwide since 2001 and led the management buy-out of this business from WSP Group plc in June 2011. In July 2015 he successfully led the purchase of the shareholding of the private equity partner via a secondary buy-out to create a totally independent business. Gavin is a first Vice Chair and a Board Director of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE), London and the current Chairman of the ACE International Business Group where he advises on the issues and challenges facing the engineering industry working in international markets. Gavin also represents IMC Worldwide at the UK Anti-corruption forum and sits on a number of their working groups. In November 2015 Gavin was awarded the European CEO Sterling Award in the ACE European CEO of the year Awards and in 2013 he was awarded the Chartered Manager of the year 2013 for Outstanding Leadership in the Chartered Management Institute's National Management and Leadership Awards. Hulya has 20 years of experience managing infrastructure finance, debt management, and sovereign borrowing, as well as PPP specialist advice, project finance and capacity development. Hulya was the Head of the Turkish Treasury PPP Unit between 2014 and 2018. She worked on PPP transactions, government guarantees, financial closure, and innovative financing instruments to promote private financing. She led the Treasury team for the economic and financial assessments of PPP feasibility studies, debt assumption commitments (total stock $15 bn.) and negotiations on finance documentation. Janet was team leader at IPE Triple Line for the management of DFID's Civil Society Challenge Fund (2014-2016), and prior to that was involved in the fund as a Senior Civil Society Consultant. She led on communicating learning from the fund and on dialogue with DFID regarding fund and risk management. She was responsible for performance monitoring of a portfolio of CSCF-funded social inclusion projects, and reviewing annual, project completion and evaluation reports from civil society organisations who received support through this fund. Experience in social inclusion, challenge fund and project management, capacity building, and monitoring, evaluation and learning over the course of 15+ years in international development. Janet is a Senior Consultant in IMC's Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning team. Jonathan Parkinson

Jonathan is a municipal engineer and institutional development specialist in planning and provision of resilient infrastructure and sustainable services in cities in low and middle-income countries. Jonathan has 20 years of consulting experience in over 15 countries in Asia and Africa supporting urban authorities, national governmental and humanitarian agencies with policy development, strategic planning and programme design. Initially focussing on urban drainage and sewerage infrastructure, he now specialises in all aspects of urban sanitation and waste management from technical, financial, management and institutional perspectives. Before joining IMC in 2017, he worked for Oxfam as Senior Programme Developm ent Advisor where he was responsible for a three-year program me funded by USAID to improve the resilience and preparedness of market systems in Bangladesh, Indonesia, and Zimbabwe from to emergencies. With a PhD from Imperial College, London, he has con siderable research experience and is an author of two books and considerable journal papers focusing primarily on sustainable sanitation and wastewater management.

Katherine Liakos

Katherine Liakos is a dedicated development professional with 5 years' experience in the development sector, ranging from non-profit and public sector to consultancy work.
