Mary Anne Mark is the Administrative Assistant with Applied Financial Group. From scheduling appointments to assisting clients with their questions, she helps ensure the firm runs smoothly on a day-to-day basis. With more than 16 years of experience working in the financial services industry, Mary Anne has previously worked with several other major firms, including MONY, AXA, and New York Life. She enjoys the diversity of the industry and the many roles she can play within her position. Outside of the office, she enjoys boating and entering sweepstakes.

Richard Pope, President and CEO of Applied Financial Group, has a history of success in the Financial and Insurance Industry, specializing in Pension Planning, Business Succession Strategies, Estate and Financial Planning. He began his financial services career as a stockbroker in the mid 1980's with Dean Witter Reynolds. Richard began seeing the unstable atmosphere of the stock market and the narrow focus of the field, deciding early on to make a change. In 1987 Richard formed Applied Financial Group, an independent national firm designed to assist clients in meeting their personal financial goals. In founding Applied Financial Group, Richard worked extensively with accounting firms, law firms, and other professional financial and insurance service firms. He brought innovative new ideas for expanding and enhancing their ability to provide comprehensive and complete services to their clients. Richard met with instant success. In the first year after building his team, the sales force landed 150 new clients-more than doubling the firm's profits. Richard has continued to develop strategies for Business Succession, Pension & Estate Planning. Richard has been an industry-renowned lecturer at various Bar Associations and Certified Public Accounting Society Association on financial, tax and insurance-related topics. Richard is a former chairperson of AALU Qualified Planning Committee and is an active member of a number of professional and business organizations including the following: Financial Planning Associations, Society of Financial Service Professionals, and American Society of Pensions.
