Bernard Andre

Bernard is a highly skilled and experienced Geophysicist and Portfolio Manager. Has worked for significant operators including Exxon, Repsol YPF and CGG and now works as an independent consultant including work on Cove and partners gas discoveries of more than 100 TCF recoverable reserves in the Ruvuma Basin, offshore Mozambique. Bernard also worked on Aminex's gas discovery in Tanzania. He has extensive exploration and production experience in Africa, Asia, South America, and Europe. His background includes portfolio management and risk analysis, project supervision, prospect evaluations and field reserve assessments. Has had considerable experience and responsibility for geophysical interpretation projects, company portfolio and coordinated seismic acquisition projects.

Matt Farrelly

Matt is an experienced oil and gas senior manager with over 26 years international field development and project management experience. His expertise covers both conventional and unconventional (shale and coal) oil and gas ventures. He has had significant exposure at Executive and Board levels in the creation and progression of ventures from discovery to operation. Whilst with QGC LNG he delivered significant cost and schedule savings for a multi-billion-dollar project resulting in the issue-free sanction of over $2.5 billion of incremental investment. As Development Director with BG Group in the USA, he led BG Group's input into the rationalisation of operations in a shale-gas JV to deliver material savings in response to low prices. In Bolivia he oversaw production growth of 60% through re-assessment and rejuvenation of ageing operated fields. He has successfully led and managed projects in the US, Australia, south America, Tunisia, Italy, and the UK with over 2.5 million drilling & construction man-hours managed without injury.

Philip Thompson - Chairman

Philip has founded and led three oil and gas companies. He has over 30 years experience covering general management, geophysics and international new ventures with Exxon, Oryx Energy (now part of Anadarko), and Vanco Energy (Gabon and Morocco). He founded San Leon Energy in 2002 and listed the company on the London AIM market in 2008. San Leon focused on Africa and Europe and achieved shareholder returns in excess of 300% between 2008 to 2011 on Philip's exit from the company. In 2011 he co-founded and funded the Africa focused Canyon Oil & Gas Ltd which was then acquired by Aminex PLC in 2014. Philip was the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Director of Aminex until 2017. As the largest shareholder (via 2014 placing) Philip led the exploration effort that resulted in the successful Ntorya-2 gas discovery in Tanzania. Aminex shareholders achieved returns of up to 700% from the 2014 placing through Q1 2017. Philip founded Azores Energy in 2017.
