Akbar Sha

Akbar Sha is an Executive Vice President in BW LNG and is responsible for the global gas solutions segment of the LNG business. Sha joined BW in April 2019 and holds a Marine engineering degree from the Tolani Maritime Institute, India. Sha started his career as an engine cadet onboard Shell's oil and gas fleet in 2005. He later joined Mitsui OSK Lines in 2007 and held various ranks as an engineer onboard their LNG fleet. He moved to MISC Group in 2016, overseeing commercial operations and subsequently business development activities.

Albert Itoro Walter

Billy Chiu - EVP

Billy Chiu has been with BW since 1985 and has more than 30 years of experience in the shipping industry. Chiu's current role as EVP oversees the Dry Cargo business, Group Crewing Services, Quality and Compliance department, Internal Audit, and Asset Management teams. Chiu was appointed as Director of Commercial and Operations in 2003 and later as SVP of Commercial (Tankers). From 2002 to 2003, he was Chief Operating Officer responsible for operations, manning, fleet systems and purchasing. Chiu also oversaw the Corporate Affairs and Compliance division of the company from 2011 to 2016. From 1995 to 2002, Chiu held senior management positions within World-Wide Shipping Agency (Singapore) Pte Ltd in the Commercial department, including as Vice President, Commercial, from 2000 to 2002. In the early years of his careers, Chiu was Commercial Manager in World-Wide Shipping's Japan office from 1990 to 1995. Chiu graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor of Social Science degree, majoring in management studies and economics. Currently, he is also a Director at BW Epic Kosan, International Tanker Owners Pollution Federation (ITOPF) and the UK P&I Club.

Erik Strømsø

Erik Strømsø is the CEO of BW ESS and Managing Director of BW Renewables. He is responsible for scaling BW's investments in sustainable energy and technologies. He joined BW Group in 2021. Prior to joining BW Group, Strømsø was a Senior Equity Partner at Pareto Securities, a leading Scandinavian investment bank, with a key focus on the energy and maritime space. He started in Pareto's equity research department, with an emphasis on the offshore energy space, and subsequently joined the investment banking department, with a maritime and energy focus. In 2014, Strømsø moved to Singapore as Managing Partner for Pareto Securities - Asia Pacific, where he led a team focused on capital markets financing of traditional and renewable energy and infrastructure assets. Strømsø holds an MSc. in International Management from London School of Economics and a BSc. in Economics and Business Administration from Copenhagen Business School.

Harald Martin Myhre

Harald Martin Myhre is the VP of IT and Digitalisation of BW LNG and is responsible for IT services and the company's digitalisation efforts. Myhre joined BW in January 2020. He holds an MSc in Industrial Economics and Technology Management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU). Myhre started his career as a management consultant in BearingPoint, serving the insurance, logistics, and shipping industries. In 2008, he worked as a business controller at Fugro-Geoteam/CGG before engaging in performance improvement programs and managing complex marine seismic acquisition projects in the APAC region. He joined Sprint Consulting as a senior manager in 2015, where he assisted big corporate clients and start-ups with business development activities and digital strategies.

Helge Drange

Mavis Chia

I am proud to work for BW LNG, a solid future-oriented player in the LNG space. Working for a global company like BW means having the opportunity to grow professionally by being exposed to different parts of the shipping industry. Joining BW as a Commercial LNG Manager in 2017 with a technical background, it was an excellent opportunity to get an understanding of chartering activities, business development, and managing customer relationships. After five years, I was glad to connect what I learnt as a Commercial LNG Manager with my technical background in my new role as Fleet Manager. Together with the rest of the BW Fleet management team, we ensure our fleet operate efficiently and safely within allocated budgets. Mr Andreas Sohmen-Pao - Chairman

Andreas Sohmen-Pao is Chairman of BW Group and listed affiliates BW Offshore, BW LPG, Hafnia, BW Energy and Cadeler. He is also Chairman of the Global Centre for Maritime Decarbonisation, and a trustee of the Lloyd's Register Foundation. Mr Sohmen-Pao was previously Chairman of the Singapore Maritime Foundation and has served as a non-executive director of The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Ltd, London P&I Club, Navigator Holdings, Singapore Symphonia Company, National Parks Board Singapore, Sport Singapore and the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore amongst others. Mr Sohmen-Pao graduated from Oxford University in England with an honours degree in Oriental Studies and has an MBA from Harvard Business School.

Mr Christian Clausen

Mr Christian Clausen joined the Board of Directors in May 2016. Mr Clausen is currently the Chairman of BlackRock Europe. Mr Clausen is also a Board Member of Sampo Plc. He was previously President of the European Banking Federation, the Swedish Banking Association, Danish Stockbrokers Association and Nordea Bank subsidiaries in various countries. He was also a Board Member of the OMX Exchanges Ltd, Stockholm Stock Exchange and Copenhagen Stock Exchange amongst others. Mr Clausen began his career in the 1970s. From 1979 - 1987, he held Management positions at Erik Møllers Efterfølgere A/S, Andelsbanken A/S and Henriques Bank. Mr Clausen became the Managing Director of Privatbørsen in 1988. When Unibank was formed in 1990, Mr Clausen was appointed Managing Director and Chief Executive of Unibørs Securities, and later in 1996, he became Managing Director and Chief Executive of Unibank Markets. In 1998, Mr Clausen was appointed Member of the Executive Board of Unibank. When Nordea was formed in 2000 as a result of the merger between MeritaNordbanken, Unidanmark and Christiania Bank, Mr Clausen became Head of Asset Management & Life, and a Member of the Group Executive Management of Nordea. On 13 April 2007, Mr Clausen assumed the position of President and Group CEO of Nordea and held the position until October 2015, when he stepped down to take on an advisory role. Mr Clausen holds a Master of Science (Economics) from Copenhagen University.

Mr Sanjiv Misra

Mr Sanjiv Misra is Chairman of Clifford Capital Holdings and Bayfront Infrastructure Management Pte Ltd, and is a Non-Executive Director of Partners Capital Group and Singapore Symphonia Company Pte Ltd. He is also Chairman of the Asia Pacific Advisory Board for Apollo Global Management and President of Phoenix Advisers Pte Ltd, a boutique consulting and principal investing firm. Mr Misra began his investment banking career with Goldman Sachs & Co in 1986, spanning over a decade in New York, Hong Kong, and Singapore. In 1997, he joined Citigroup, where he served as the Head of the Asia Pacific Corporate Bank, CEO of Global Corporate and Investment Banking Group (Singapore and Brunei), and Country Officer for Singapore. He was also the Citigroup Head of Asia Pacific Investment Banking, and Head of Equity Capital Markets for Asia-Pacific. Mr Misra was previously an independent director at Olam International, EDBI, OUE Hospitality REIT Management, Edelweiss Financial Services Ltd, and the National University Health System, amongst others. He was a board member and trustee of the Singapore Management University. Mr Misra holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Delhi University, a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management, and a Master of Management from Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.

Mr Thomas Thune Andersen

Mr Thomas Thune Andersen joined the Board of Directors in May 2019. He has more than 35 years experience in the shipping and oil industry, starting in the A.P. Møller-Mærsk Group, where he held various positions, including Chief Executive Officer of Mærsk Oil. His board portfolio consists of directorship in several companies, both listed and private, mainly within the oil, energy and marine sector and related critical infrastructure. He was a Member of the Board of BW Offshore from 2016 until May 2019 when he assumed his role as a member of the BW Group Board. He is currently the Chairman, Lloyd's Register Foundation and Lloyd's Register Group Services, and the Vice Chairman of the board of VKR Holding A/S, and board member of IMI plc. He was also Chairman of the board of Ørsted A/S, DeepOcean Holding BV and board member in Scottish and Southern plc, as well as Petrofac Services Limited and Green Hydrogen Systems. Mr Andersen has attended Advanced Executive Programme, Economics at Harvard University and Senior Management Programme at Columbia University, and holds a Graduate Diploma in Foreign Relations (HD) from Copenhagen Business School.

Nicholas Fell

Nicholas Fell joined BW in 2012 as the Head of Corporate Services and General Counsel, responsible for the Legal, Insurance, and Corporate Secretarial departments. Prior to joining BW, Fell was the Chief Administrative Officer and General Counsel for AET Group (formerly known as American Eagle Tankers) based in London, where he led the Group's Legal, Risk Management and Compliance, HR and IT functions. From 1999 to 2005, Fell worked in San Francisco as In House Counsel at GATX Financial Corporation, where he was responsible for the shipping, aviation and technology businesses worldwide. He is currently a Director of North of England P&I Association Limited. Fell holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago, a Master of Laws from the University of Leicester and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Liverpool. He is admitted to practice law in England, New York, California and Hong Kong.

Petter Lindvig Larssøn

Petter Lindvig Larssøn is an Executive Vice President in BW LNG and is responsible for global LNG shipping. Larssøn joined BW in January 2014. He holds an MBA in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH) and an MSc in International Accounting & Finance from the London School of Economics (LSE). Larssøn started his career at Citigroup in 2000, working in the Corporate & Investment Bank and focusing on larger corporate clients. In 2006, he joined Nordea Markets, where he worked in investment banking, covering energy and shipping clients.

Riju Cherian

Sebastien Brochet - CFO

Sebastien Brochet has been the Chief Financial Officer at BW Group since 2020. Prior to his CFO role, he was Executive Vice-President in charge of Strategy & Corporate Development at BW Group. Brochet started his career in 1999 in the Chemical Industry at Rhodia (now Solvay Group), where he held various operational responsibilities in industrial and purchasing. In 2005, he joined Bain & Company and spent eight years in its Energy and Industrial Practice in Singapore, Dubai and Paris, leaving as a Principal. Brochet holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Master degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Technology of Compiegne in France.

Sir John Rose

Sir John Rose joined the Board of Directors in January 2012. He is currently Deputy Chairman of Rothschild Group. Sir John is an Adviser to the Greenbriar Equity Group and the Abu Dhabi Executive Affairs Authority, and a trustee of the Eden Project and the Baker Dearing Trust. Sir John was with the First National Bank of Chicago and Security Pacific before joining Rolls Royce in 1984 where he was Director of Corporate Development (1989-1994), President and Chief Executive of Rolls-Royce Inc (1993-1994), Managing Director of the Aerospace Group (1995) and Chief Executive (1996-2011). Sir John was conferred knighthood in 2003. In 2008, he was made a Commandeur de la Légion d'honneur, and awarded the Singapore Public Service Star. He was Chairman of the Council of The Prince's Trust and the Holdingham Group, and President of the European Association of Aerospace Industries and the Society of British Aerospace Companies.
