CAMCO CONSTRUCTION

CAMCO was founded in Spokane in 1976 as Lee A. Campbell, General Contractor, a sole proprietorship with just a couple of employees. The Company performed a wide range of construction activities for general contractors, homeowners and small businesses. With the purchase of a backhoe and dump truck, the focus of the business changed from general construction to excavation and hauling. In 1990 the Company grew to include eight employees and moved to a small office and shop in central Spokane and operated under the name CAMCO Construction. In 1993 Lee Campbell purchased the excavation division of Baker Enterprises, more than doubling the excavation and hauling equipment owned by the Company and increasing the employees to ten.
