Bettina serves as Senior Relationship Manager with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Bettina's role is to assist the firm's investment advisors with client service, reviews, planning, and security trading. Bettina graduated Magna Cum Laude from SUNY Institute of Technology (now SUNY Polytechnic Institute), with a Bachelor of Professional Studies in Business Public Management. Prior to joining Caruso Mclean, she was Client Associate and Relationship Manager for a team at M. Griffith Investment Services, and most recently Senior Client Specialist at R. W. Baird in New Hartford, NY. Bettina is an avid runner and enjoys skiing, hiking, and biking in the area. She lives in Barneveld, NY with her husband, Ed.

David Hamlin

David's career in the financial industry began with Westminster Research Associates providing clients with research and commission management services. He later joined Convergex's sales trading team, working with institutional money managers to develop best execution strategies. In his role at Caruso McLean, David is a member of the advisory team, which is committed to assisting people and businesses with their financial needs. David studied economics at Syracuse University and was a four-year member of the men's lacrosse program. David lives in New Hartford and enjoys playing golf and lacrosse during his free time.

Ernest Caruso

Ernest Caruso, vice-president and founding partner at Caruso McLean, passed away on May 6, 2010. Ernest founded Caruso McLean on the tenet that people deserved to have a financial advisor who genuinely cared about their clients. He believed in face-to-face conversations about financial goals, plans and investments. He always made time for clients when they called with questions. He felt the best part of being in business was seeing client relationships evolve into friendships. Ernest cared about the community he lived in, and was a member of the board of the SUNY Institute of Technology Foundation at Utica-Rome, Inc., and was treasurer of the Mohawk Valley Handicapped Persons Association.

Gregory B. McLean

Greg's career in financial services began as an account executive with E.F. Hutton & Co. in 1980. Before he co-founded Caruso McLean & Company, Inc. in 1988, he was vice president and branch manager at Tucker Anthony & R.L. Day, Inc. Greg has counseled clients and managed their portfolios for more than 35 years. He realized early on in his career that each of his clients has their own story, their own distinct circumstances and their own views on investing. That's why he's dedicated to creating customized profiles for each client. Greg graduated Cum Laude with a bachelors degree in business management from Siena College, and took graduate courses at the Lally School of Management at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He is active in community service, serving as the Chair of the Investment Committee of the Community Foundation of Oneida & Herkimer County and the Vice Chair and Chair of Investment Committee of the Mohawk Valley Health System, as well as serving on the Executive Committee of the Thousand Island Land Trust. A veteran of the NYC Marathon, as well as numerous Boilermaker road races, Greg is an avid runner. He also enjoys skiing, golf, and spending free time on the St Lawrence River. Greg lives in Clinton with his wife Cindy. His son Mac resides in Washington, D.C. and daughter Tori lives in Rochester, N.Y.

Joelle Desmond

Joelle joined the team at Caruso McLean in 2019 as an administrative assistant. She enjoys working with clients and has gained confidence in meeting expectations. Upon her return from Florida, she was employed as a Customer Service Representative at ACS/Conduent and, previously, a branch manager at Pay Day Loans in Florida. Joelle lives in Frankfort, New York and enjoys spending time with her fiancé, his two children and family members. Joelle enjoys dance, hiking, fishing, swimming and long motorcycle rides. Joelle is a Non- Registered Assistant with Royal Alliance Associates, Inc.

Kevin W. Conway

Kevin's career in the financial industry began in 2011 at Northwestern Mutual as a financial representative. He specialized in risk management while providing clients with expert guidance on life insurance, disability insurance, and long-term care insurance. In October of 2013 he joined Caruso McLean. Kevin believes everyone has a different story and has different needs. That's why his goal is to identify the personal and financial needs of his clients, and help create a plan to reach those needs. Kevin studied mathematics with a concentration in education at Utica College. He was a four-year member of the college's men's lacrosse team. He is a trustee on the Clinton Central School Foundation board, a member of the Clinton Lacrosse board, and a member of the Utica Zoo board. Kevin resides in Utica with his wife Cassie and daughter. He is an avid golfer and enjoys spending time with family.

Linda Desmond

In her role as Chief Operations Manager at Caruso McLean, Linda's goal is to gain the confidence of clients, and to meet or exceed their expectations. Prior to coming to Caruso McLean in 1996, she was employed as a legal secretary. Linda lives in Ilion, New York and enjoys spending time with her four children and four grandchildren. She is an avid reader, gardener, an experienced seamstress and amateur artist. Linda is a Non- Registered Assistant with Royal Alliance Associates, Inc.

Lori A. Glennon

Lori's career as an investment advisor began on Wall Street in 1980. She first worked with Greg McLean, the current principal of Caruso McLean, Inc., when she joined Tucker Anthony & R.L. Day, Inc. Lori's gained valuable experience throughout her career holding positions with financial and investment firms throughout the 1990s and early 2000s before rejoining Caruso McLean in 2012. In her role at Caruso McLean, Lori helps her clients take advantage of opportunities in today's global economy, with a clear eye to their financial future. Her long-spanning career in the financial field allows her to offer her clients good decision-making for long-term financial growth, no matter what the day-to-day fluctuation of the markets. Lori graduated from St. Bonaventure University in 1980 with a BS in Economics. She is an active skier and golfer and enjoys traveling to visit her two grown daughters. Lori lives with her husband Joe in New Hartford, NY.

Stephen Caruso - Chief Investment Officer

Stephen began his career at Caruso McLean and Company, Inc. in 1995. He graduated from Bucknell University with a bachelor of science in mathematics. Stephen was awarded the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 2009. The CFA curriculum and examinations set a globally recognized program for measuring the competence and integrity of financial analysts, portfolio managers and investment advisors. Stephen's goal is to partner with clients and develop long-lasting relationships. He believes the foundation of client relationships is careful listening. He wants to assist clients in outlining portfolio goals and in formulating investment risk and return objectives. Stephen is motivated by the challenge of creating, implementing and monitoring an investment program to achieve goals for each of his unique clients. Stephen has a strong focus on giving back through community service and serves as the Treasurer for Hospice and Palliative Care, along with sitting on the board for both The Arc Oneida-Lewis Chapter and the Presbyterian Homes Foundation. Stephen lives in New Hartford with his wife Stacy and their two children. Outside of the office, Stephen enjoys spending time with his boating and fishing on Cayuga Lake throughout the summer. For the past 10-years, he has volunteered as the coach of the New Hartford youth wrestling team is being inducted into the Section III Wrestling Hall of Fame in late 2018.
