Courtney has been practicing law since 2005. She began her career as a criminal prosecutor in Brooklyn Family Court where she spent the majority of her time in the courtroom conducting arraignments, trials, and dispositions. Courtney was named "Rookie of the Year" for the City of New York, and was a member of the Major Case Unit and the Sex Crimes Prosecution Unit.
