Karin Reenstierna

  • EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
After serving as a Central West Ballet Board Member for 7 years, including the positions of Secretary and Treasurer, Karin Reenstierna was appointed Executive Director of Central West Ballet in March 2018. A long time supporter and participant in the Arts, Ms. Reenstierna has also served as a Trustee with the Stanislaus Union School District for 8 years. She is a singer with the Modesto Symphony Chorus and a volunteer at the Gallo Center for the Arts. Ms. Reenstierna's previous work with Central West Ballet has included an increase of the Company's exposure to the community in a variety of ways, from phone banks to after school and summer school classes, grant writing and chairing benefit fundraisers. Reenstierna's work also includes reaching out to donors, establishing the formation of operations committees and creating financially and professionally positive relationships in support of Central West Ballet. Karin Reenstierna has a Graduate Degree in Comparative Political Systems and Social Welfare from the University of Stockholm and a Master's in Human Resource Administration from Utah State. Most recently, she has been teaching US History, Gov't and Economics at Valley Charter High School in Modesto. As Executive Director, Ms. Reenstierna supports CWB's vision of being a professional ballet company with a premier ballet academy. In 2020, Ms. Reenstierna got multiple National/State grants and programs to get Central West Ballet through the COVID-19 Pandemic. In 2021, after Central West Ballet's return to the stage, Karin Reenstierna initiated a collaboration with Modesto Symphony Orchestra, Opera Modesto and Prospect Theater Project to bring to the stage René Daveluy's new ballet Frankenstein: or the Modern Prometheus with live orchestra, singers and actors in order to complete Daveluy's vision for the production. In October 2022, this collaborative endeavor opened with live orchestra to sold out houses at the Gallo Center for the Arts.

Kevin Singleton

Kevin Singleton joined Central West Ballet this 2021. Mr. Singleton has distinguished himself in Lovers Sorrow and the Main Tavern Lead in René Daveluy's Frankenstein, or the Modern Prometheus, as well as in other repertoire created by Daveluy such as Port Royal and World of West from Pirates and Cowboys, Playful from Love Duets and as Quincy Morris in Dracula. Kevin Singleton joined Central West Ballet this 2021. Miranda Sevo joined the Central West Ballet Academy before becoming a CWB II Member and joining the main company as apprentice during the 2024-25 Season. Miranda has grown from a young age through the yearly production of The Nutcracker as well as in the CWB Corps de Ballet. Since then Miranda has danced in many Central West Ballet productions, most notably in Frankenstein of the Modern Prometheus, 1001 Nights, House of Folk, and Romeo and Juliet.
