Curt Darden

Curt is a newcomer to the world of financial planning and investment management. As office manager, Curt handles paperwork, client phone calls, compliance, and many other internal operations for Darden Financial. Curt graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a bachelors degree in Radio, TV, and Film. After a short stint of living in Hollywood, Curt found the world of finance and economics to be just as interesting as the Hollywood scene. After 2 years of in depth study, Curt has become a fully licensed assistant, and holds a series 7 held through LPL Financial and series 66 held through GWM Advisors, LLC. Curts goal is to one day settle into the role of wealth advisor to help families overcome the financial hurdles in their lives. Curt met his loving and beautiful wife, Daniela, while working in Austin, Texas. Curt and Daniela married in March 2016. Daniella is currently working for Bancorp South in Marshall, Texas. She is also a loving mother of two rescue dogs, Oscar and Ringo.

Steve Darden

Steve is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™, and has been in the Comprehensive Wealth Management Industry for ten years. Steve brings a comprehensive analytical depth to the industry borne from twenty-five years of financial management experience. Steve is not a sales person that has been trained to sell financial products. His background displays a succession of finance positions that have developed him into a trusted and seasoned financial planner and problem solver. Years of working in private industry have also developed Steve into a professional that fully understands economic events with an ability to communicate the meaning of those events to the clients of Darden Financial. After graduating from Stephen F. Austin State University with a BBA, major in Finance and minor in Accounting in 1983, Steve began working for Texas Instruments in various positions from 1983 - 1993, ultimately as Financial Planning Manager for the laptop computer and laser printer division, a division with annual sales of $1 billion. Steve then left Texas Instruments to become Chief Financial Officer of Mosley Machinery Company in Waco, TX, and held that position from 1993 1995. After serving as CFO of Mosley for just over two years, Steve was recruited by Mosley Machinerys largest competitor, Harris Waste Management Group, Inc., headquartered in Peachtree City, GA., and accepted a position as Vice President of Finance, Information Systems, and Human Resources. In 1998, Steve had the opportunity to move his family back to his home town of Marshall, TX, when he was recruited by NORIT Americas, Inc. (NAI), and accepted a position as their Corporate Controller and Corporate Officer. During his time working for NAI, Steve also served on the Board of Directors of two subsidiaries of NORIT, Clarimex, Inc., located in Mexico City and Brascarbo, located in Guarapuava, Brazil. Throughout his financial management career, Steve always had a keen interest in economic events in general, and with how those events related to investments specifically. Steve has been married to his wife Sandi for 32 years. They have two sons, Curtis, 29, a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, who now works with Steve at Darden Financial, and Brian, 25, also a graduate of UT-Austin, who is a digital media analyst at Integrous Marketing in Austin. His family is very active at St. Josephs Catholic Church in Marshall. Steve currently serves as President of the Finance Council at St. Josephs and is on many other committees. He also teaches 8 th grade Faith Formation at St. Josephs.
