Hon. Cynthia Carrion Norton is the President & CEO of Corregidor Foundation, Inc. and formerly President and Chief Operating Officer of the Philippine Tourism Promotions Board. From 2003 to 2010, she was appointed Undersecretary of the Philippine Department of Tourism for Sports and Wellness while concurrently serving as the Executive Director of the Philippine Commission on Sports Scuba Diving for several years. David is a Chief Partnerships Officer at Bumrungrad and a seasoned healthcare executive whose experience spans for over 40 years which started with a stint in BlueCross and BlueShield in 1981 in South Caroina until he moved to hospital and clinic management for various organizations for many years in different capacities. He is known as a master of creating efficiencies, but never at the expense of service. David is able to achive quality at a lower cost in Telemedicine, Medical Tourism, Contact Centers, Urgent Care/Retail Operations, e-commerce, and hospitals. In 2006 to 2016, he was President and Chief Operating Officer of Companion Global Healthcare which pioneered employer-focused Medical Travel benefits. He launched the business of insuring and enabling internationally outsourced medical care wherein American patients were given the option to participate in overseas medical procedures, making global medicine a reality. Companion Global Healthcare was a wholly-owned subsidiary of BlueCross of South Carolina. Between 2012 and 2017, he also served as President and Chief Operating Officer of UCI Medical Affiliates which is a provider of non-medical management services to 55 urgent care centers, 25 physical therapy centers, and a wellness center in South Carolina. Here, David introduced telemedicine, becoming the first U.S. urgent care enterprise to embrace and implement telemedicine. David then journeyed to Bangkok, Thailand and from June, 2018 through June, 2020 he worked in the role of Chief Business Transformation Officer at Bumrungrad International Hospital, the #1 medical tourism hospital in the world. He currently serves as Chief of Service Excellence at Dubai-based Aster DM Healthcare. David's proficiency includes: developing affiliates worldwide, engaging employees in excellence, fixing problems and growing revenue, planning strategy and business expansion, scaling multi-site operations, and transforming processes, quality and P&L.

Dr. Girdhar J. Gyani

Dr. Girdhar J. Gyani is currently the Director General for the Association of Healthcare Providers in India (AHPI). AHPI is a conglomeration of practically all healthcare providers working closely with the key stakeholders i.e. the Government and the Society to realise the Universal Health Coverage. Its mission is to build capacity in Indian health system with focus on patient safety and affordability. Prior to this, Dr. Gyani was Secretary General of Quality Council of India (2003-2012), an apex national body responsible for establishing and operating national accreditation structure and promoting quality in all walks of life. Dr Gyani introduced a number of measures, integrating quality into regulatory framework in the areas of education, healthcare, environment, industry and public services, which are known to have resulted in to good governance practices. SME World Magazine, in its cover story of June 2012 issue, described him as Quality Man of India. Dr. Gyani has been instrumental in formulation and operating of National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH), for the first time in the country. He was Principal Coordinator in the development of accreditation standard for hospitals and getting it accredited by International Society for Quality in Health Care (ISQua). Dr Gyani functioned as founder CEO of NABH until July 2012. During this period, about 200 leading hospitals in the country got accredited, providing boost to medical tourism. Dr. Gyani persuaded a number of state governments in improving quality in public health establishments including about 100 district hospitals through capacity building measures. This includes states like Gujarat, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and NCR Delhi. This has resulted in much needed improvement in patient safety indicators in these states. Dr. Gyani has distinction of serving as elected director on board of International Society for Quality in Healthcare (ISQua) for 4 years from 2009 to 2013. Dr. Gyani is presently the surveyor for ISQua international accreditation program. Dr. Gyani was nominated member of academic council of Medical Council of India (MCI) during 2012-13, with a view to facilitate objective assessment of medical colleges. Dr Gyani is very widely travelled, which has helped him to assimilate best practices from other countries. He has been popular speaker on Quality in healthcare at large number of the international events. He is recipient of numerous awards and recognitions including; ‘16th Lal C. Verman Award' in year 2002 and ‘Rotary Centenary Award' in year 2004 for Excellence in the field of Quality. He was bestowed with ‘Lifetime achievement award', jointly by DRDO, Vivekananda Yoga University and Foundation for Quality in January 2015, for innovating quality for National Well Being. Consortium of Accredited Hospitals (CAHO) bestowed on him the ‘Lifetime Achievement Award' during their annual conclave in March 2016. Healthcare Executive magazine in its January 2015 issue complimented him as ‘CHANKYA of Quality'.

Governor Pagdanganan

Governor Pagdanganan is presently also Chairman of Medicines Transparency Alliance, (MeTA) Inc., and Health Retirement and Tourism Alliance (HeaRT). He is also a member of the National Executive Board of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines where he has served as National President for four terms. Hon. Roberto Pagdanganan

Roberto Pagdanganan, fondly called Obet or Gov (short for Governor because of his 12-year stint as Governor of the Province of Bulacan), has had an extensive experience in the private sector-business, academe and civil society organizations-and in government service. He was a senior executive in Unilever and a part time professorial lecturer in chemical engineering and MBA subjects, before he joined the government in 1986. Obet was a most outstanding public servant, and had received numerous awards and recognitions. These include Most Outstanding Alumnus awards from all the schools he attended, and the Lifetime Achievement Award, the highest award, from the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. He also received a Legion of Honor award from President Cory Aquino for his role in fighting coup attempts during her term. Obet considers himself particularly fortunate to have led the successful struggle of local officials for local autonomy, as President of The League of Provinces, and founding Chairman of the League of Leagues of Local Government Units, later known as Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines, ULAP. He is a foremost advocate for equitable national progress through cooperative development. As Tourism Secretary, Obet initiated the opening of the Tourism Office in Beijing China and signed the MOA for tourism cooperation between the Philippines and China on September 5, 2004. As Chairman and President of PITC and PITC Pharma, he also spearheaded the quest to improve access to quality and affordable medicines for the Filipino people through the "Botika ng Bayan".

Ravi Govindan

Roberto "Obet" M. Pagdanganan - Chairman

Chairman of the Board of E-HealthCore, has had an extensive experience in private sector and government service as well as in civil society organizations. Starting as a management trainee in 1968, he held various senior technical and marketing management positions at Unilever Philippines until he joined the government when he was appointed OIC Governor of the province of Bulacan in March, 1986. He went on to serve as Bulacan Governor for 12 years during which time he was elected as National President of the League of Provinces for 3 terms and founding Chairman of the League of Leagues later renamed Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines. He had also served as Chairman of the Cooperative Development Authority, Secretary of Department of Agrarian Reforms, Secretary of Tourism, Chairman of Philippine International Trading Corporation, and founding Chairman of PITC Pharmaceuticals Inc, now known as PPPI, which launched the "Botika ng Bayan" Program to promote safe and affordable generic medicines. Gov Pagdanganan graduated with the degrees of Bachelor of Chemical Engineering, summa cum laude, in 1968, and Bachelor of Laws in 1990, from Manuel L. Quezon University. He obtained a Masters in Business Administration at Dela Salle University in 1980. He was also granted a Doctorate in Education Management, honoris causa, by the Bulacan State University in 1995. He is presently a part-time professorial lecturer at the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Open University System and an Eminent Fellow at the Philippine Public Safety College.
