Michael R. Stackhouse

Michael started his legal career in West New York, New Jersey in 2015 where he quickly became familiar with landlord/tenant issues, personal injury matters, family law custody matters, wills/estate planning, and municipal court matters. A year later he worked for a medium sized personal injury firm in New Jersey where he settled a multitude cases for his clients always maintaining an ethical and professional manner with opponents and clients alike. Michael is known for his relentless determination and keeping his focus on the needs of his clientele. Michael has tried multiple cases at the law division level as a first and second chair in the Superior Courts of New Jersey. In 2017, Michael took a chance and chose to open his own practice in Bergen County and focused on the following areas of law: residential real estate, landlord/tenant, personal injury, contract/transactions, small business formation (PC, LLC, Corp, and S-Corp.), legal consulting, legal drafting, wills/estate planning, municipal matters, traffic, criminal, and housing violations. In 2018, Michael began working for a boutique law firm in Paramus New Jersey proudly serving the clients of Bergen County with quality legal work where he focused on the following areas of law: real estate, landlord/tenant, personal injury, contracts/transactional, small business formation (PC, LLC, Corp, and S-Corp.), matrimonial, domestic violence, collections, wills/estate planning, municipal matters, such as traffic, DUI/DWI, criminal, and housing violations. Now joining the team at the Law Offices of Tejas S. Kapdia, P.C. in 2020, Michael brings his various experience, unique outlook and trial savvy to the serve clients throughout the entire state of New Jersey. Now, Michael focuses his legal prowess on personal injury, municipal, real estate, matrimonial, estate planning and landlord/tenant matters. Born and raised in sunny southern California, Michael graduated from Bishop Amat Memorial High School in La Puente where he was a prep football star. After a few years of playing for semi-professional and arena football leagues, injuries, age, and dedication to his studies helped Michael decide to hang up his cleats Michael began his higher education at Pasadena City College 2006 in where he was placed on the Dean's List for academic achievement in his first year. When he earned his A.A. and A.S. he transferred to California State University Los Angeles (CSULA). At CSULA his major was political science with a focus on pre-legal studies. While attending CSULA, Michael held positions in multiple extracurricular societies such as: vice-president of the CSULA chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha National Honor Society and president of the CSULA Pre-Law Society. After graduation from CSULA, he was accepted into Western New England University School of Law located in Springfield, Massachusetts. He said his goodbyes to friends and family and made the trip across the country to earn his Juris Doctorate. He was very involved in his law school and held positions on SBA committees and student clubs such as: chair of the Student Bar Association Library Committee; member of the National Lawyers Guild; and secretary of the Solo Practitioners Club. Fortunately for Michael, he met his fiancé in law school and after graduation decided to come with her to New Jersey where he took the Bar exam in 2015 and passed with flying colors. Michelle A. Ali

Michelle A. Ali is an associate attorney at the Law Offices of Tejas S. Kapadia, PC. She is well versed in both litigation and transaction practice. Her litigation practice focuses on simple and complex civil litigation, including both law division and special civil matters, family law, including, but not limited to, matrimonial dissolution, child custody, pre and post nuptial agreements, landlord-tenant litigation, commercial/corporate litigation, and real estate related disputes. Michelle also provides transactional services in the areas of residential and commercial real estate, business purchases and sales, as well as, estate planning and administration. A graduate of CUNY School of Law, Michelle began her legal career practicing primarily in New York State. During her educational career she participated in the Economic Justice Project and Elder Law Clinic at CUNY School of Law. Through the Economic Justice Project, she represented low-income undergraduate students at administrative hearings attempting to terminate welfare services based on alleged workfare violations. She also engaged in advocacy, education and organizing activities related to economic justice and anti-poverty solutions. Similarly, through the Elder Law Clinic, Michelle advocated for low-income individuals with disabilities and aging adults and their families. She had the opportunity to work with a low-income senior to plan for the financial future of her adult disabled child, in the event she could no longer provide him with direct care, including enrolling him in a special needs trust. Michelle also served as a court appointed evaluator in an adult guardianship case. Prior to joining the firm, Michelle worked as an associate attorney for a small law firm in Queens, NY where she second chaired two trials in Queens County Supreme Court and practiced almost exclusively as a litigator in civil and family law matters.
