Andrey Belenky

Andrey Belenky focuses his practice on patent litigation and various proceedings in the Patent Office. In addition to representing clients in litigation matters, Andrey counsels clients on protecting intellectual property by developing cost-effective patent procurement strategies. Andrey is also experienced in patent due-diligence and patent legal opinion matters. In addition to intellectual property, Andrey also represents clients in commercial disputes and employment matters. Andrey graduated summa cum laude with a B.S. in Computer Engineering and M.S. in Telecommunication Networks from Polytechnic University (which recently became part of New York University). Later, Andrey graduated from the New Jersey Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering. His graduate research and the topic of his dissertation related to Internet security. Andrey is a named inventor on two issued U.S. patents and an author of several articles related to networking. Andrey has presented his work at international conferences. For four years, Andrey worked at Bellcore, which was later renamed into Telcordia Technologies, as an engineer consultant on the design and implementation of data networks of various size and complexity. Andrey obtained his law degree from Fordham University School of Law in 2006. While studying in law school, he worked as a patent agent in the IP department of Jones Day, on patent prosecution, patent litigation, and legal opinion matters. After he was admitted to practice law in 2007, Andrey primarily focused on patent litigation and oversaw several clients with significant patent portfolios.

Brandon Moore

Brandon Moore is an associate attorney for the firm with experience in patent litigation including representing clients in cases involving computer-related technologies such as Bluetooth LE, WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), network throttling, automated email encryption, electronic catalog, interactive map, computer monitor stand, diamond-like coating (DLC), and transdermal drug delivery technologies. Brandon earned his degree in Computer Science from Texas Tech University and spent time working as a Software Technical Support Specialist, supporting microcontroller software developers with their projects. Brandon also developed numerous websites and published several mobile applications to mobile app stores. After his time as a software developer, Brandon earned his Juris Doctor from Oklahoma City University in 2009 and is now a registered patent attorney licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.

Hanna G. Cohen

Hanna Cohen is a patent litigator with experience spanning a wide range of technologies, including pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, and Voice over IP technology. She also counsels clients in transactional matters involving intellectual property. She is a registered patent attorney licensed to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Hanna was most recently counsel at Kaye Scholer LLP, where she practiced since 2006. She received her J.D. in 2006 from Georgetown University Law Center. Hanna graduated with a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Princeton University in 2001. Before law school, she was a researcher in the Pharmacology Department at the Yale University School of Medicine.

John E. Dawson, III

John E. Dawson III is the technical advisor for the firm. He possesses notable experience in technical fields such as analog circuits, digital circuits, antenna design, microwave circuits, ultrashort pulse lasers, nonlinear optics, plasma physics, power systems, near field communication, and microcontrollers. John was most recently a contract research engineer for the Air Force Research Laboratory in New Mexico. Prior to that, he was a member of the Zoning Board of Appeals for the Town of Rochester in New York. John was formerly a Non-Commissioned Officer in the United State Army and is a decorated Combat Infantry Veteran. John received his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the State University of New York at New Paltz, where he was awarded outstanding graduate for Electrical Engineering.

Mary L. Itson

Job Titles:

Mary Itson is the paralegal for the firm. She provides litigation support on many of the ongoing cases as well as assists with the administration of the firm. Prior to joining, she worked as a legal intern at another firm that handled medical malpractice and traumatic brain injury matters. Her duties consisted of administrative support, paralegal support, and research. While still in high school, she received her Associates Degree from Bard College. Mary graduated from the Pre-Law program at Hunter College where she also earned a Bachelors Degree in English Literature with a minor in Legal Studies. She is currently studying for the law school entrance exam.
