Adrian Hia

As Head of Threat Research team, Alexander leads top experts on protection from cyberthreats and is responsible for organizing, conducting researches aimed to obtain valuable cyber threat intelligence. Within this role he acquired great experience in reverse engineering and software development. In 2013, he became a leader in the Heuristic Detection Group and, several years later, the group's manager. The division provided generic detections for all kinds of threats as well as developing malware detection methods. As a lead malware analyst, Alexander designed and developed a number of technologies that currently form the basis of Kaspersky's anti-virus engine. In 2018, Alexander became Head of the Heuristic Detection and Vulnerability Research Team. The team was responsible for heuristic and generic malware detection, developing new threat protection technologies, static and dynamic exploit detection, vulnerability assessment and patch management, packed objects analysis and format parsers. In 2019, Alexander became Head of Anti-Malware Research. Before becoming CTO in 2018, Andrey spent eight years focused on cloud-based technologies, and he made a significant contribution to the creation and development of Kaspersky's vast portfolio of products and services. In the role of the CTO, Andrey was responsible for the strategic development of Kaspersky's product portfolio, technological excellence and leadership in the areas of advanced threat detection, protection of cloud environments, and next generation endpoint security. Andrey Tikhonov - COO

Andrey was appointed Kaspersky's Chief Operating Officer in January 2012. In his position he is responsible for global administrative functions - finance, HR, IT, and work processes. Prior to his current role Andrey held a number of senior management positions at Kaspersky. Before that, he was head of the Novell development department from 2002 following a successful period as a project manager. Anna Kulashova

She began her role as the first porn analyst in the team, building it up almost from scratch and filtering websites by category. Over the years, Anna has devoted time and commitment to Kaspersky, starting as an ordinary analyst and becoming an expert in her field. Anna specializes in social media, privacy, general and specific issues of child safety in the network. She also participated in the creation and development of projects for the analysis of search queries and tracking. For example, she created features for products, such as ‘Safe Kids' by Kaspersky and developed a system for evaluating internet services on how they should comply with GDPR and CCPA. Presently, Anna continues to contribute to threat research related to privacy as a web content analysis expert.

Anton Ivanov - CTO

Anton Ivanov heads the company's research and development department. Anton joined Kaspersky in 2011 as a malware analyst. For five years, he worked as a senior malware analyst in the company's Heuristic Detection Group. In 2016, Anton started to lead the Behavioral Detection Team. The team's main focus was to proactively protect customers from different kinds of malware threats, including ransomware. In 2018, Anton became Head of the Advanced Threats Research and Detection Team, responsible for Advanced Persistent Threats (APT) attacks research and improving the quality of anti-targeted attack detection products. In 2019, he was appointed VP of Threat research responsible for overseeing a number of strategically important tasks at the company, including the promotion and development of Kaspersky's Threat Research Team and building up company's technology stack.

Boris Larin

Christian Funk

Fedor Sinitsyn

He graduated from the Moscow State Institute of Electronics and Mathematics with a Specialist Degree in Computer and Information Security. Jin Ye

For five years from 2012, Seth worked in Kaspersky China as a malware analyst. While there, he was part of the former virus lab in Beijing, where Seth was responsible for detecting malware and conducting in-depth sample analysis for customers. He is experienced with the heuristic engine, BSS, and IDS rules. Seth then spent three years at another cybersecurity company as Threat Analysis Expert. In this role he focused on DDoS botnet tracking, IOC extraction, and deeply analyzed IoT botnets. In 2021, Seth rejoined Kaspersky as a senior security researcher in the Global Research and Analysis Team (GReAT). He currently plays an active role in the analysis of APT attacks targeting the Asian region, specifically China.

Jornt van der Wiel

During his time at the company, Jornt has managed several different high-profile projects. For instance, he helped the Dutch police with the Coinvault case, that led to the arrest of two malware authors. After this success, Jornt was a driving force behind the NoMoreRansom project. Together with various law enforcement agencies, he identified several servers that held cryptographic keys of ransomware victims. As a result, more than 35,000 people got their files back without paying the criminals and the action prevented millions of dollars going into the pockets of criminals.

At the same time Kirill is responsible for delivering high quality threat intelligence products including publications and alerts on urgent ICS threats, ICS threats data feeds, customer/industry/region/threat specific threat intelligence reports, etc. Kirill has a bachelor's degree in software engineering and information systems management from the Moscow Financial-Industrial Academy. Kirill has authored a number of patents as well as of numerous IT and ICS cyber security publications. He is a regular speaker at ICS security conferences and conducts online and live ICS security training sessions. Kirill joined Kaspersky in 2009 as malware analyst and over the years he focused on reverse engineering and threat intelligence. In 2011 he switched to the White Listing and Cloud infrastructure research team to improve cloud infrastructure and Application Control technologies by sharing his deep anti-malware expertise.

Konstantin Sapronov

Konstantin Sapronov is the head of the Global Emergency Response Team, where he leads global experts to provide services that respond to and investigate information security incidents. In 2006, he joined the Anti-Malware Team as a virus analyst and then led the Non-Intel Anti-Malware Group. In 2007 he moved to China to establish Kaspersky's Anti-Malware Lab in Beijing. Prior to joining Kaspersky, Kurt was VP of Behavioral Threat Research at Symantec for PC Tools' ThreatFire. Originally joining ThreatFire when it was a startup in 2005, Kurt was as their sole researcher and led their research efforts through two successful acquisitions. Before Symantec, Kurt was Chief Threat Officer at Novatix and a Threat Analyst at SonicWALL.

Leonid Bezvershenko

In addition to this, Leonid has become one of the authors of Crimeware reports and dark web research publications. Prior to joining Kaspersky, Noushin worked as a senior malware analyst and security software developer focusing on rootkit analysis and detection techniques as well as APT attack investigations. Noushin is very active in the local cybersecurity community in Australia and New Zealand where she regularly presents at various security conferences and events and also delivers technical workshops. She is also a member of the Australian Women in Security Network (AWSN) which aims to connect, support, collaborate and inspire women in the Australian cybersecurity industry. She was the first mentor to provide technical workshops and mentorship in the AWSN cadets program. This initiative aims to bridge the gap between university and industry by bringing together female students from different universities interested in pursuing a career in the information security space.

The following twenty years of his professional career led him through various positions and responsibilities - initially as administrator, then as network engineer - to security evangelist and finally forensic expert in the oil and gas industry.
