Jaco Horn Jaco

Jaco obtained his B.Comm and LLB degrees at the University of Stellenbosch. In 2007, Jaco completed his articles at Steyl Vosloo in Cape Town and was admitted as an Attorney and Conveyancer. He was admitted as a Notary in 2011. Jaco has been in practice since his admittance, and has joined Morkel & De Villiers as a Professional Assistant in 2015.

Louis Denner

Louis joined Morkel & De Villiers Inc in the beginning of 2018. Having graduated with an LLB Degree from Stellenbosch University in 2015, Louis then further increased his legal knowledge by obtaining an LLM degree at the same prestigious university in 2016. During the course of his LLM studies Louis' main focus revolved around commercial law with his thesis titled "The concept of inside information in the regulation of insider trading". Louis has a strong passion for litigation and plies his trade in the various courts throughout the greater Cape Peninsula. A keen squash player year round, Louis also enjoys exploring the outdoors during the summer months whilst in the winter he will always be near a braai with family and friends.

Lyndi Labuschagne

Lyndi obtained her Juris LLB in Port Elizabeth and started with her articles at Fisher Logan in Knysna, completing it at Kitchings Attorneys in Uitenhage. She joined Morkel & De Villiers In 1997 and completed her notary, public and conveyancing exams during that time, while working in the litigation department. After taking some time off when having her son in 1998, she joined the Auditors LDP Inc in Stellenbosch for 8 years specialising in International Law and Reserve Bank compliances, Trusts, Estates and Commercial Structuring both locally and internationally. Lyndi practised on her own in 2006 and worked in association with Morkel & De Villiers, referring work both ways depending on the speciality required. She started full time in 2013/2014 and became a director at Morkel & De Villiers in 2015. Her areas of expertise are Reserve Bank and Compliance, Deceased Estates, Trusts and Wills, Property Management and Commercial Law, Antenuptial Contracts. She is also a qualified Conveyancer and Notary Public. Lyndi Labuschagne joined the firm as an Associate in 2007 and was appointed as a Director on 1 September 2015. Christo Nimb also joined the Firm as Director on 1 September 2015. Mike Rose Mike

Mike started his legal career with the Department of Justice in 1977 and completed his articles with Herold Gie & Broadhead in 1979. He joined Morkel & De Villiers as a professional assistant in 1980 and was appointed as a partner in 1982. Mike specializes in conveyancing and general litigation. Outside of the office Mike has been heavily involved in the Helderberg community having been Headboy in his matric year at Hottentots Holland High School, and subsequently Chairman of Somerset West Round Table in 1992, Captain of Somerset West Golf Club in 1993 / 1994, President of Somerset West Golf Club 2009 / 2010, and a past President and Life Member of De Beer's Football Club. Paul du Toit

Paul du Toit and Christie Krige had previously been Directors and Partners at Attorney Louw & Key also of Somerset West but when this latter firm ceased to operate in 1988 and the partnership was dissolved, Paul and Christie joined Morkel & De Villiers. Paul retired in August 2015.
