Alan Rowell, President and Tax Specialist of The Accounting Place, specializes in working with individuals and small to medium size businesses by providing accounting and taxation services that are unique to each client. His achievements include the DFA designation and he is recognized as one of the leading tax services specialists in Canada. He is a tax resource for a number of Financial Planners and a Strategic Educational Partner with the Knowledge Bureau. Since 1998, when Alan formed The Accounting Place, he has saved small business owners literally hundreds of thousands of dollars in income taxes through his savvy interpretations of the tax laws and his ability to help individuals and business owner's structure, operate and organize their financial affairs to their best overall advantage. In his role with Nelson Financial Planning Corp., Henry will provide financial insights, analysis and strategy to our small business clients. Jennifer Johnston

Jennifer has been actively involved in the financial services industry since 2007 and has worked with Nelson Financial since 2020. In her role with Nelson Portfolio Management Corp. Jennifer is responsible for coordinating client communication, managing our information systems and coordinating all client administration activity such as opening new client accounts, setting up on line access for new clients, coordinating client deposits and withdrawals and providing duplicate statements and tax reports as required. As a veteran administrator and client service professional, Jennifer supports the portfolio management team in the day to day administration of client portfolios. Lynda is a Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) and Chartered Investment Manager (CIM) with over 22 years experience in the financial services sector. During that time, she has worked as an Advisor and in several financial planning and financial analysis roles for various financial services firms in Winnipeg. She provides to clients of Nelson Financial Consultants a wide range experience, expertise and technical knowledge. In her role as Financial Planner, she is responsible for providing detailed financial planning analysis for our fee for service financial planning and retirement planning programs, leading the year over year process for our premier financial planning service (Financial Desktop) and for coordinating our annual Tax Return review and preparation service (delivered by The Accounting Place). Lynda contributes research and commentary on various financial planning topics for our Client Education programs. Lynda also holds her life insurance license and is able to provide advice and answer questions in this area. He comes to us formerly as a Senior Customer Experience Associate with a major bank, where he continued to exceed service goals set by the bank, conducted client meetings to open new accounts, and facilitated client connection with advisors. Prior, he was a teller earning consistent positive feedback as the first point of contact for the branch. When he's not working, he has enjoyed volunteering for Swimmingly Manitoba for the last 4 years, as well participated in a short stint as an NHL predictions writer with Capperspicks. Riley will be providing administrative support to the Nelson team.

Susan Kuz
